I had some nice speakers on shelves. When I used these to mount the rear speakers, I noticed a remarkable improvement in sound, so I immediately ordered these for the front ones as well. It's a vast difference in sound quality!!!

Although these are rated to hold 10lbs each, my 7.75 lb speakers sagged no matter how much I tightened the clamp. There are nibs on the inside of the clamp, but because the ball is hard, smooth plastic there's nothing for them to grab on to and the ball simply rotates with the weight of the speaker.

Used both to hold a Polk Monitor XT35 Center Channel speaker weighing 14lbs. It needed to be above the tv and angled down. Screwed a white melamine MDF board to the wall's studs and then drill holes in it to use 1/4-20 Hex Drive Wood inserts to attach these mounts to the board. I used the same inserts on the speaker since it only had keyhole holders. You have to be very accurate taking measurements and leveling. Bottom line, I was able to angle the speaker to my desire and the brackets handle the weight perfectly. A reviewer said that one of these wasn't holding his bookshelf speaker that weighs 10 lbs, most likely because it has too much leverage, the speaker is too deep and these were not designed for a speaker that big, regardless of its weight. My speaker is heavy but it is slim and not too deep, plus I am using both brackets; obviously I can only move the speaker in one axis, but that is all I needed. Also, the hex wrench provided is not convenient, it'll do the job, but it'll frustrate you. I used a hex bit socket and a ratchet wrench, so I could quickly tighten each screw while holding the speaker in the desired position.

Used it for definitive center speaker wall mount, very stead and does the job. It also could adjust the angle.

Nice and sturdy, does what it says and is pretty unobtrusive. Depending on where you’re mounting the speaker and how big the speaker is, this bracket might essentially disappear behind the speaker. The only caution I’ll give is that depending on how close you’re trying to mount your speaker to the ceiling or an adjoining wall or your woodwork/trim you’ll want to make sure you have adequate access to the allen screw that locks the “ball” in place before you drill any holes in the wall.Personally I’d like to see this come with different lengths for the screws that attach the speaker to the mount, in case you’re mounting a rear-ported speaker and you’re trying to get more distance from the wall for improved bass clarity. But that would drive the cost up, and that’s not really what these are for. You’re probably not gonna mount your fronts with these if they’re large speakers. These are really intended for small light weight surrounds where you want it pretty close to the wall. If you’re looking to secure a set of speakers where you think you might want to play around with adjusting the angle and the distance from the wall these aren’t the mounts you want. This is definitely more of a set it once and forget it kind of design. But for that purpose they’re affordable, solidly built, and very secure.

Pros:-Parts are metal and sturdy unlike most competitors who rely heavily on plastic.-Easy to mount-Does not come with wall anchors, however the wall-mounting holes are well enough designed that you have a lot of flexibility on what wall anchors you need for your wall (either drywall or using #10 wood screws directly into a stud).-You can easily tighten the ball enough to prevent horizontal movement or vertical sagging, unlike most other wall mounts (I'm using 8.5 lb speakers). Note that you can twist the ball either accidentally or purposefully if you want a speaker at a 45 degree angle for some reason.Cons:-The clamping screw to tighten the ball into place on the wall is some indeterminate metric size that isn't labeled anywhere. If you tighten it with a screwdriver, you're golden. Don't use the included allen wrench, it's an exercise in frustration. If you use a socket wrench to tighten it you WILL strip the threads on the bolt. Fortunately 1/4" - 20 1.5" machine screws fit nicely so it's easy enough to swap in a substitute.Overall I'd absolutely buy these again. They're easy to mount, they're trivial to level, they're not going to break, they don't sag, and the only con is that they're so sturdy the tighten-the-ball screw will strip before the mount breaks. Better a few cent screw than RMAing an entire mount if you overdo it.

Needed some mount for my new outdoor speakers and was looking for something flexible and cheap. These work great and hold my kicker speakers no problem. There 6 lbs so not very heavy and these mounts could hd something twice as heavy. Very flexible and can tilt and turn the speakers a fair amount before the speaker hits the wall. If using with smaller speaker you could do 180 degrees no problem. Super easy to install and adjust with an Allen wrench.Only negative is they don't come with hardware to mount to the wall. I understand this as there so many different pieces of hardware they would have to provide to install into all the different types of walls. I used some structural wood screws to mount them through my aluminum siding into the studs. Worked great
