It may be great on a 24 volt gate, but is not reliable on my 12 volt gate. So,i bought a far more expensive 12 volt gate latch, and it works very well.
Bad habits

I have had this lock for over 6 months and it’s completely unreliable. Half of the time the lock does not unlatch when opening.. so when one side starts to open it takes the other side along with it because it does not unlock. Very frustrating. Wish I could return.Update: they said they would send a replacement and they are now ignoring me.

Even has mounting instructions with GTO's label. Installed on a mighty mule 12v gate opener. Didn't use the included time delay, because my opener already keeps the "lock" circuit closed for 2 seconds. Works great. Seems to be quality. Only wish they'd include 6 carriage bolts and a dozen zip-ties for the wire. Better option than the comparible models in the price range. Easily bypassed by several methods so i wouldn't say it's secure, but nothing really is.

Works great, nice latch - closes and latches every time. Works with remote control on opening and closing the gate, better than the original. Sometimes the original would not always latch, but with probably 500 closings, so far, it has always latched. It was easy to install, I did contact customer support to check wire position and they emailed me right back and explained it made no difference.

This lock seems well constructed but the directions for use with other gate systems, specifically a LiftMaster LA500, are lacking! Additionally, the length of wire is barely 16 feet, my original was 20 and the wires were a non-standard Red & BLUE with little explanation what the blue wire was supposed to be attached to. After 3 hours of research, it was decided the BLUE wire was supposed to be connected to the red wire in the control box and the RED wire actually connects to the black wire in the box.......not what you would expect!It does work smoothly & under windy conditions. We'll see how long it lasts.
