The safety pins are stainless steel as others, but they were painted black. I thought they were stainless blackened by a process like bluing, but not, with the daily use paint go off and turn stainless color. I used them as a keychain for my keys, do they were used daily in extreme environment. They are big and heavy.⁸

I use the safety pins to hold my husband‘s overalls. It’s the straps that I used them for they would bang in my washing machine and dryer now I pinned the straps together and I pin them to the overalls. The only downsize is and it’s my fault the safety pin tip is pretty thick and it could put a good hole into the overalls so I put the pin tip Through a button hole instead of through the overalls and it has helped to secure the straps from not bouncing around in my dryer and washing machine.

These pins are just what you see.. super big safety pins.. only problem is the points are really dull.. they won’t even penetrate bed sheet material without sharpening the points with a file.
