The listing says that it can be used on both male and female pins, but the inside diameter is too small for the female pins. One of the images in the listing suggests that there is another tool for the female pins. This tool works ok, but it takes a bit of wiggling. I found that pushing the tool over the end of the pin and then rotating the tool around in a circle while tugging on the other end of the wire works most of the time. I did have an infrequent issue with the side-pins (the ones that hold it in the hole) becoming too compressed to latch when you plug it back in. All it takes is some careful bending with a small screw driver to bend them back out. So the tool does work, but only on half of the pins.

Look no further, this works great. Now I can finally pull MOLEX connectors apart with ease. It is a quality aluminum handle and makes removing the pin of a MOLEX connector simple and quick. I use these for making/repairing amateur radio power cords. Definitely recommend.
