Difficult to read the direction arrow and one side may be slightly too big in diameter so extra Teflon tape is needed to seal the threads. Great idea for places that need backflow prevention.

Product is well made and functioned well with good but not excessively stiff spring strength. Unfortunately for me, I needed one with tapered threads and this model has NPS (i.e. straight non-tapered) threads, which are not compatible with my NPT fittings. Customer service was refreshingly prompt, polite, very helpful and the return was quick & easy. I would purchase from this vendor again with confidence (& hopefully do my requisite homework beforehand to prevent repeating this situation).

When you need to check balls for a small sea PVC project, these are them don’t go spending 70 bucks a check valve when you can get two for 14 bucks

Check valve appears to be well made and durable, but the threading is off and I found it impossible to install these valves without a slow drip-drip-drip leak -- this after using teflon tape AND Tru Blu pipe thread sealant AND tightening to the max without distorting the fitting. Tried multiple times with no success. The thing still leaked. Assuming correct installation -- and I know how to install pipe fittings correctly -- the way the threads are milled will determine whether the fitting leaks or not. These threads simply don't cut it. Waste of my time and money. Am going to the local plumbing supply store to buy sweatable check valves instead. While threads are convenient, the ONLY time I have ever had leaks -- on copper, PVC, CPVC, or Pex -- is when using a threaded fitting. If you have the skill to sweat (or, with PVC and CPVC) glue a fitting properly, thereby avoiding threads, IMHO you're way better off doing so.

This appears to be a high quality product. Unfortunately the female threads are cut too deep to achieve an interference fit with my MIP pipe ends and the design does not provide a sufficient seat for a gasket. I needed to use a thick wrapping of PTFE tape to get a seal.

These are great check valves. As one review states, the threads are a little "short" but mine didn't leak. I used extra teflon thread tape and it sealed great. Very good price for a nice product. Will buy again.
