When you decide to care for hermit crabs, you must be aware of their specific habitat needs so they can live (really) well in their new habitat. When not living in their original habitat, their life spans become shorter, and they are expected to live between 10 and 20 years if given the proper living conditions. Aside from an adequate habitat setup, they need the appropriate amount of care, attention, and love to lead a long and happy life. One of the things you can put as a functional decorative piece in the habitat you are creating for your little crawlers is a set of Rocks for Hermit Crabs by JOR. Each pack contains around 3-6 pieces of rocks weighing 2 oz, and you can add more depending on the size and design of the crabitat. Here are some ways where our rocks can be helpful to your Hermit Crabs:

- Bathing & Hydration – You can stack the rocks to create a shallow pool where they can wash their shells and store water when they need to shed their exoskeleton. You can set up a different pool for hydration.
- Shell strengthening – Our rocks are rich in calcium which helps toughen their outer covering.
- Recreation – Let your crabs feel comfortable and secure by laying our stones in their habitat and allowing them to dig, which is a regular activity back in their original home. You can also create a rock wall to climb for a multi-dimensional level of fun inside their new home.
- Hiding Places for privacy – Hermit crabs love to burrow, and placing our rocks can help fulfill this need. Once they do, you must leave them alone and not disturb them. They also tend to hide on the rocks to familiarize themselves with their new surroundings.
- Humidity – A hermit crab’s habitat must maintain a humidity level range between 70% and 80%. Our rocks can take in moisture to keep the humidity ideal for your crustaceans.

I’m hoping these work similarly to wonder shells. My biggest reason for ordering was to deliver vital nutrients to my snail. The rock pieces are various sizes but most are about 1 inch long/wide
