As a club we required a catch net which didn't take up much room, this is ideal for us. I read the reviews on the catch net before I purchased it, yes the balls, if they hit the metal support, rebounded out, the solution put some foam piping on the metal supports, and solved, yes the odd one still bounces out but no more than the typical catch ball design.The material used could be better but its Table Tennis balls hitting the net not rockets, two improvement I would look for is1) Better screws to join the base and stand together 2) The clip system when storing away could be betterAll and All we are happy with the purchase and have ordered a 2nd one

Konstruktionsfehler (die Bälle springen von dem Gestänge in alle Richtungen ab und landen dann wieder auf der Platte oder überall drumherum)Für den Verein würde ich das nicht empfehlen, das geht nach paar Wochen kaputt. Für daheim ist es halt alternativlos wenn man ein klappbares Ballfangnetz sucht...

*6 month review - purchased April 2023*The appeal of this net was that it was portable and didn't require clamping to the table. Unfortunately, the design just has too many flaws. This net is very flimsy and constantly leans to one side. The balls bounce out of net constantly off of the metal frame if you're doing any kind of no spin or top spin serves (don't even think about practicing strokes with this net). The bottom blue material constantly leaks balls through the "drain" even when it is closed (it's a velcro connection). I bought this net so that collecting balls would be easier when practicing serves, however it just leaves me frustrated when I have to collect balls from around the room anyways.I would recommend just buying one that clamps onto the table for better collection as well as coverage for side spin serves which this does not provide. Yes it would take longer to set up and take down, but you'd also spend more time actually training and less time/frustration fighting with it during your training.

Overall this is great design only let down by the fragile net material and the poor hardware. The metal frame is easy to setup without instructions. I had to put pipe insulation on the metal arms to prevent the balls from ricocheting off. I highly recommend doing this if own this net. Otherwise, the balls go everywhere and you might catch a ball in the face! I like how this folds up easily and the clasp feature to keep it secure when folded. I use this with the iPong Topspin ball feeder.I bought this used (probably another reviewer’s return) and paid around $70. I would never pay more than $80 for this new due to the low quality of the net and hardware. Just be gentle with the net and never take the frame apart, and this should stand the rest of time.

This net is easy to move, store and use. However it is utterly impractical. Too many balls get out hitting metal frame and simply falling outside.

Update: after several back and forth emails with company rep where I answered all questions and provided photos showing the problem. Rep informed me they they are working on sending me replacement parts the emails and communications totally stopped. No replacement parts were delivered and the issue is still outstanding.hardware doesn't fit. Has anyone had this problem and how was it resolved?

Over 50% of the balls bounce right back out if you practice anything with more power than a serve (Like a topspin)

The net was new in a bag but the metal stand was clearly used and the threads to accept the screw to attach the net assembly the base were either damaged or not manufactured correctly. I can not even assemble it, Have to return or trash... tired of this crap from Amazon and Wayfair sellers.
