This dispenser works great to dispense alcohol for cleaning oily bolts and nuts. I leave the lid open all day as the opening is small and doesn't allow the alcohol to evaporate from the container. Just press a paper towel down on the top and it pumps the alcohol up into the little basin, wetting the paper towel. If you knock it over on its side, it doesn't leak out. Well worth the price, especially after reading the dismal reviews of the other knockoffs.

I always have a spare of these laying around, occasionally I’ll drop it or it’ll land wrong after falling from the bench and the top will snap. Not a manufacturer fault, I keep buying them because of ease of use. Quality is god as well. One of few jonard tools I’ll praise. Everything else miller/ripley.

I purchased the Jonard Tools FD-220 Fluid Dispenser to dispense isopropyl alcohol on my worktable. It is perfectly suited for this application. No more fumbling with screwtop bottles and (hopefully) remembering to put the cap back on, or knocking over the large bottle to discover that you forgot to recap it. With the dispenser you can either: 1. Leave the cap closed and tap it a few times to fill the reservior on top, then open the cap and dip your rag, brush or cotton swab in the alcohol or 2. Pop the cap open and cover the top of the unit with a rag as you push down to saturate the rag with fluid.Yes, if you tip this dispenser over it WILL spill its contents. This is true of ALL of these type of units and is not a product flaw. These dispensers are made to sit on a desktop or tabletop while in use. If you have an application that requires you to tilt it or move it around alot, this might not be the product for you.This product works well for me and saves me time and aggravation.My only complaints are: The bottle is not labeled ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL as some other units are, so you'll have to make your own label. This might be so that you can use it with another liquid, such as acetone, so I'll give them a pass. My other issue is that the label that comes on the bottle is very hard to remove, so you either have to label over it or use a good adhesive remover to clean off the old label glue.BONUS TIP: You can use isopropyl alcohol to remove permanent marker from any smooth surface, like metal, glass or whiteboards. (Yes, teachers know that Dry Erase markers will also remove permanent marker, but it also tends to ruin the dry erase marker in the process.)

Unit is well built and functions smoothly. The ability to lock the pump mechanism and still have the cap open is great for preventing accidental dispensing.The product feels like a professional grade item and not a cheap, good enough version for "normal" people.

This dispenser has paid for itself ten fold not having to deal with alcohol wipes has been great. When I first opened it, I thought it felt cheap. I didn’t think it would hold up to my strain on it with as much fiber I do. It’s been great. I plan on buying more for other fiber kits.
