Great for sliding along drywall/sheetrock lengthwise with a razor to cut. There are tabs that keep the square on the edge

For anyone who does drywall, this is a must have tool. Saves so much time ripping sheets rather than dragging your tape and knife down the board.

I am on a crew who installs ceiling tiles in gridwork. I've tried several types of straight edges and squares to trim edges- not happy with the others. At the last job, I borrowed one of these, and found my tool. It doesn't slip around (has a texture that grips just a little), is easy to hold, and the top edge is just the right depth to fit over the top of the tile (which holds it securely). Went out and bought my own.

One of my guys had this for ripping Sheetrock and I was envious of how easily and accurate he could be -especially on 10 ft sheets. Saw this on sale and snapped it up. Have used many times since then and I love it.

Awesome piece of kit, I wish I was able to get hold of one of these many years ago when I first started work. It's a brilliant tool that reduces time when marking or scribing sheet material

I never leave an Amazon review but this time I couldn't help myself. This tool is amazing!!! 10 stars if there was such a thing. It's cut my drywall scoring time in half, easily!! However this tool is best used for rip cuts. I used it on 4 x 12 sheets of 1/2" drywall and once I got the hang of it it it just got better. I started with a stack of 22 sheets on edge layed against a wall. I needed several sheets at 3 x 12. Grabbed the T square put my razor knife in the 12" hole and started scoring right to left. I'm right handed so that may not work best for others. After a few cuts I realized I wasted time by only scoring one side, snapping the drywall and then cutting the backing with an awkward reach under and around the waste piece. Its much easier to use this tool to score the front and back, then just snap it off in one junk. Way faster too!! Not really that good for cross-cuts but if you have a 4' drywall T-Square then you have what need. If I could add anything else it would be that the learning curve on this tool is really short and it will cut any dimension you desire up to 24.75 inches. Which means you can rip any width you want on 4" wide sheets. I might just buy a second one just in case this one breaks or my neighbor sees me use it and wants one for himself. Absolutely worth every penny!!

If you have a lot of drywall to hang, and you need to cut the size down this is pretty handy. I had a lot of boards to hang, and for straight cuts long ways, this tool was certainly handy and pretty accurate in use and easy to use at that. If you need to cut across the four foot direction, just a simple T-square will do, but for the 8ft to 12ft direction, this is the deal. Pretty strong for that matter, the head is plastic, but not ordinary plastic. I found the conection point to be stronger than most riveted T-squares.
