From the Manufacturer

Push-fit plastic fitting for the connection of plastic, copper, and CPVC pipe. Designed, manufactured and assembled by John Guest Speedfit. Simply push the fitting fully onto the pipe and twist the plastic nut clockwise to lock in place. Should the need arise to demount the connection unlock the nut and push the collet towards the body of the fitting and pull the pipe to release. The fitting ensures an easier working environment in confined places, is approved for behind the wall installations, and removes the need for hot works on site. Installation can be reduced by around 40-Percent when compared to traditional fixing methods.

This is outrageously expensive for the tiny piece of plastic it is, but I needed it and it works without leak, so it's fine.

This allow for 2- 3/8 to 1/4 tee to run your ice maker or anything else that requires a 1/4 line. Fast an easy to use with quick connecter on both the 3/8 sides and the 1/4 inch side. Great product

Not sure why these icemaker kits don’t come with this fitting anyways. Most RO units use 3/8” tubing and the tee in the kit is 1/4”…useless. But this fitting did the trick.

This is a must have device if you're adding a direct line to your ice maker. We used it to hook into the under the sink filtration system and it does a great job of making that happen easily.

I feel like these were really expensive but they do a great job. Used with a variety of OD lines/materials and it grabbed on to all of them with no leaks. Release seems to work pretty good to.

Love the many different options for these connectors. I needed a T to run a new water line to a steam oven. Existing lines were 1/4" and that line needed to be 3/8".You need to make a good flat clean cut and ensure the line is fully seated to avoid leaks, but this works well. When I needed to shorten the water line after the oven was installed to take up slack, I was able to disconnect the line, cut it to the better length, and then reinsert it.
