Most likely uou'll needa new washer (M149625) and a new nut (GX21694) if you're replacing your spindle. John Deere changed the shaft size and didn't think it was necessary to include the parts even though they changed it. Otherwise the spindle works great and the larger shaft probably makes more sense and less prone to failure or issues with maintenance. Remember to put the spindle on so the grease point is accessible!

Blade was a little loose on the spindle which caused excessive wear. Farily easy to replace, but removing and installing the nut that holds the pully on requires the blade to be on so you can use the blade as a wedge.

Upgraded mower deck spindle has been redesigned with a larger blade side bearing which was a weak spot for failure.

Takes a little work but can get your mower repaired and most service companies this time of year are backed up weeks. Order some new spindle screws while you are ordering and you are good.

Quality is as good as OEM. Only dislike is there are no threads in the mounting holes of the spindles. You have to use the original bolts, because new bolts are not included with the new spindles, in order to cut new threads in the mounting holes.

This was a replacement spindle for a John Deere riding mower. I try to buy actual replacement parts rather than aftermarket ones. This spindle was easy to install. It was a bit more pricey than a non-brand spindle, but I think the quality is worth it.
