This is a simple multi desk with a bench chair. It wasn't too hard to assemble. It did take over an hour with so many pieces and steps to take. All he hardware was included. The overall desk is fairly sturdy once its all together. It has a smooth semi-matte white finish. The wood material is laminated particleboard which is why its more budget friendly and has acceptable durability.

This desk set is perfect for kids who need to get their work done. It's got spots for all their stuff, so no more searching for that lost pencil. The chair fits just right, so no complaints about their bum hurting.It would make a great birthday or Christmas gift for any kid who's starting to tackle more schoolwork. They'll have a place for everything, and everything in its place.

Another reviewer has a photo of a little cut in the bench cushion, and I have one that's almost identical, same spot, same size, etc., so refer to that photo since there's very little point in adding another that looks exactly the same. My cork board is fine, though, so apparently it's a bit of a gamble with regard to those two pieces.The size on this is for older kids up to small (to very small) adults. It's not for small kids. I'm about 5'3" and the bench is the perfect height for me to put my feet flat on the ground, for reference. (The bench looks shorter as compared to the desk in the pictures than it is IRL.) The cabinet on the right side bottom is just a big empty void, so you're going to want to add a basket or something to make that storage remotely useful. Drawers would have been a better choice if you ask me, but that would also have added a good bit to the assembly time - which was already pretty significant. You should expect an hour (at least, more if you're not accustomed to this sort of thing). It's not ridiculous considering the number of little cubbies and bits and bobs, but just plan on it taking a while. There are stickers on everything and those are going to take a while to get off as well. They're pretty well stuck on there, so it's going to be a chore. There are also stickers to ADD to cover up screw heads and such, and those always annoy me because you know they're not going to last the life of the piece.This thing is also HEAVY. Again, with the hutch and storage cabinet and general number of pieces of board involved, it's not unreasonable, but it is a LOT and it's not a one-person lift, boxed or assembled.

This desk is a perfect size for children 3 and up especially for learning purposes. It took quite a bit of time to put together but it turned out very nice in the end. The extra storage space that it comes with is a plus also .

Updating review from three to five stars due to the sellers incredible customer service in response to my original review below. Would absolutely buy from them again!While the desk is overall pretty decent, it arrived with the cork board very clearly damaged, and there was also a cut in the seat cushion, which itself is pretty cheap feeling. Neither of these problems could have been caused in transit or opening the box as both pieces were sandwiched in the middle of the other pieces in the box.
