I love this part because of the stability it added on the highway; however, It's main attraction is completely dysfunctional. Evvven upon loosening the nut of the bar, it will not extend or shorten no matter how much pressure is added. I'm not sure why my product is so stiff as every other JKS trackball I've seen seems to work perfectly. Pretty disappointed. A fixed trackball would've done the same job for half the price.

Came with bolts with thread pitch that was different from the provided nuts. Instructions said the nuts were nylock. The ones I received were not nylock and had the wrong thread pitch for the bolts. Almost cross threaded the bolts and ruined them. Luckily I had extra correct pitched nuts at home.Also, mine came with silver ends instead of the pictured red ends. My order was shipped and sold by Amazon. Not sure why the different colored ends.

Many people argue that the track bar is useless. With my lifted Jeep, I had to remove the OE track bar. Since, I do more road then trail driving, I found that not having a track bar made the Jeep "wonder" when hitting bumps in the road. Installing this track bar fixed that issue (At least for the front axle). When I do go off-road, being able to loosen the nut and allows for additional articulation is cool featue.The product is very well made and easy to install. The only negative comment I have is that the instructions are very clear on connecting the axle side. I had to do some research to ensure that I properly installed it.

After putting a set of 1 inch lift shackles on my 95 YJ I then removed the front & rear track bars. With the lift shackles and the front track bar removed I was getting a little bump steer and the front end just felt a little too sloppy for my liking. After installing this new telescoping track bar from JKS my Jeep feels nice and secure again just like before. The fact that I can have the best of both worlds is great, it will take 15 seconds to reach down with a 9/16th box wrench and loosen this when I go wheelin. If you drive your Jeep on the road a lot as well as offroad , this is a great upgrade.

Works like a champ. Easy on and easy to unlock. I carry a small wrench just for unlocking. Only issue I had was that it went on with my lift. After lift settled I started getting a little wander in my steering. It wasn't until I went wheeling that I unlocked it and it popped. It was under tension because it needed to settle with the new lift. Just be aware. Also, MAKE SURE you grease it before you put it in like the directions say. Trust me on this please.

Poor customer support. I received the track bar missing two 1/8 inch shouldered spacers and containing an attach bolt and nut that seem to be the correct size but are inconsistent with the other bolt and nut type combination. The shorter bolt is of a lower grade and has a regular nut and is missing the applicable spacers while the longer attach bolt is of a higher grade, has a self locking nut, and has the required 5/16 inch shouldered spacers along with its 1.85" OE bracket spacer. No installation instructions were included so I had to bring it up on my computer which is when I discovered there were missing parts. I received this item on Mar 21st. Looked up the installation instructions to install it on Mar 23rd. Called John's 4x4 Center on Monday, March 24th to inform them of the missing parts. They said they would locate the parts and would get back to me. Called them back on Mar 26th cause they never got back to me. I was told that the parts will be located and sent and if not located, they would send me a new unit all together. It is now April 18th, I have not heard from John's 4x4, and there sits my Jeep with no front track bar. And one more thing, the order confirmation sheet that was in the box had a hand written thank you note on it from John's 4x4. Only problem is, when I first called John's about the missing parts, I found out that person doesn't work there anymore. How does that happen???

I'm really happy with this product. It's a lot heavier duty than I expected, especially the joints. The instructions were a little confusing, but who needs them anyways...? All hardware was included and installation was a breeze. I'd definitely recommend it to YJ owners who want the stability of a solid track bar on the road, and great articulation off road.
