comes with not ink cartridges, so don't know how it writes, order cartridges from STAPLES , ONLY GAVE 1 START BECAUSE IT WONT ALLOW NO STARTS

I really love this JINHAO retractable fountain pen. The pen point is very fine and writes smoothly. Comfortable thick grip and for me the clip is no problem. Very simple to fill and I really like that I can refill the ink by removing the cartridge and inserting it in my ink bottle. Therefore, not getting any ink on the pen itself. Beautiful white pen that has a rich sparkly look to it. I am using this fountain pen for note taking journaling and art. Classy pen at a reasonable price.

I received this item after 1 month of ordering it. It came from the USA to Australia in a flimsy, plastic sleeve in an Amazon bubble bag, so no protection, they could have at least place it in a box or even wrapped the pen in proper bubble wrap. Unfortunately the pen does not have a great ink flow, the ink tends to dry up after a few sentences, so the writing experience is not great. I have tried using an ink cartridge as opposed to the small converter it comes with, to ensure ink is sealed in and ink flow is better to prime the feed. Still no joy, I have tried different inks in the pen, still no joy...

Alot of people are finding alternatives to less expensive pens. This is one of them that mimics the Pilot Vanishing Point which is a great pen. And it is so different, because you click it like a ballpoint and it gets to writing without any effort, instead of unscrewing a cap.I had no problems getting this inked up and wrote right away. This is my first Xtra fine nib and I am not a real big fan of those. But it writes really smooth for such a thin lined point.The color is beautiful red. And it a real red. The color of this one is true to the pictures.Just be sure and look at the instructions if this is your first time with this pen or go to other sites to get you started.

Normally a fountain pen like this would not appeal top me. However it is convenient for quick notes on a pocket notebook. The extra fine nib is smooth and functional on cheap paper.I was reluctant to buy it because the clip is near the fingers and the pen tapers to thicker at the tip. This is probably nice for someone who likes a thicker pen. For me it's not comfortable for long writing sessions. As a jotter it's almost perfect. It will be perfect once I am used to the pen being 'upside down' since the clip is near the point I have to turn it over when pulling it out of a pen holder in my jotter

I can't emphasize enough how smooth and effortless this pen writes. It flows wet and seems to float across my Rhodia notepad. I've had plenty of fountain pens of different prices, and this sub-$20 pen feels the best. I can already tell this is my daily, and I'll buy more of them

I suspect the pen is wonderful - the seller isn't shipping the product nor responding to questions about when they might ship the product. I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
