I only got this because it looked like an Ishimori ligature. It does its job and holds the reed very well.

This is very similar to the expensive Ishimori ligatures. I really like it amd it is well made. My reeds sound excellent on it. I bought one for tenor and it's great on that too. I've been playing for 30 years.Only negative is the screws could be slightly better quality. They are fine, and may last a long time, but feel a little bit cheaper then more expensive ligature screws.

Feb, 2023…70 yr old player…Conn, Yamaha, Cleveland King, Bundy, Selmer… ligs-Rovner, Vandoren, Selmer, Rico. I have long felt that ligatures are over rated and priced... Overall this item is good value for the money ...It seats well on my Mpc and does the job; perhaps the more expensive ones spend a little more time in the plating vat. FIT AND FINISH—while I can see tool marks around the edges of the openings, I feel no burrs…overall fit is good and the finish is good…the screws fit well… the finish is polished brass. I guess I am a poor undiscerning 40-year player who is easily impressed... this works great for me.I would buy again but how many ligs can you have?
