I put it in my miter box and cut one inch off of it to use as an insulator for battery terminal jumping posts on my motorcycle. I don't have to pull my side cover now to jump start my bike and it worked perfect.

I recently purchased two rubber blocks to adjust the height for the rear speakers of my Samsung Soundbar Q930C on the bracket of Sanus Universal speaker stands. These blocks are the perfect size to hide the brackets sticking out behind the speakers, providing a clean and seamless look to my setup. However, upon receiving the rubber blocks, I noticed that they emitted quite a strong smell, which was a bit off-putting. To tackle this issue, I decided to soak them in a solution of vinegar and dish soap in water for about an hour to remove the rubber smell. Thankfully, this method worked effectively, and after the soaking, the smell dissipated significantly.Overall, I'm satisfied with the functionality of these rubber blocks. They serve their purpose well by elevating the rear speakers to the desired height and concealing the unsightly brackets. Despite the initial odor issue, I appreciate the simple solution of soaking them to eliminate the smell. If you're looking for an easy way to adjust speaker height and improve the aesthetics of your setup, these rubber blocks are worth considering.

After trying many ideas and much thought, I decided to buy a couple of these jeweler's bench blocks, although I am a woodworker and not a jeweler. When using a hand plane, the piece of wood being planed must be held in place. If that's a clamp, a bench dog, a hold-down or something else made of a hard material, the hand plane blade could be damaged if there was contact. I am working to design a system that will use these blocks (or pieces of them) as a stop for wood while it is being planed. These blocks are exactly what I was looking for.

The item did come on time! I had my husband order this for me along with some other items. I gave 4 stars because it works well for what it suppose to do, but I stopped using it 2 days later due to the extremely strong smell of this block. I"m not sure what to do with it.

This bench block is exactly as described. It appears to be of good quality. I haven't used it much yet, but I am sure it will fulfill all of my expectations.
