Bought this for my son's birthday and he loves it but the battery dies super fast. Not sure if this is a product error or just the way it is. Hopefully Jetson will provide help.

I am absolutely obsessed with my Jetson. The quality and battery life are phenomenal.

We purchased 2 Jetson Bolt Pro’s in April 2024 for 2 basic reasons. (1) Bikes were small enough that we could carry them easily in the back seat area of our truck while we traveled with our RV and (2) Jetson advertised up to a 15 mile range with just throttle and up to a 30 mile range with pedal assist, and we considered that good for the price of these bikes. We figured as senior citizens that would be plenty of range and they were light weight enough for us to handle.Well, we have now been through 2 sets of Bolt Pros (4 bikes) and 1 set of J5’s (2 bikes) and these bikes come NO WHERE NEAR their advertised range!!The weight limit on these bikes is 265lbs, and we are both 70lbs+ under the weight limit. We love these bikes, and they fit our e-bike needs perfectly …… but we are forced to adjust the way we use these bikes due to the drastically reduced range that we are getting. After 3 sets of these bikes (2 sets of Bolt Pros and 1 set of J5’s) our final results are these bikes are only good for about 11 miles with pedal assist the entire ride which means less than a 1.5-hour joy ride with a fully charged battery. (which takes 4+ hours to charge). So, beware …… If you are a 45lb child, you might get half of the advertised range….. but normal size adults will NOT !!Now, as I said above, we do love these bikes, they fit our needs very well ….. and the Tru Ride customer service has been very good. However, there was never an option to get a refund, only the exchange or store credit! Our story:On our first set of Bolt Pros, we struck out on a 19 mile concrete/blacktop loop with gentle sloping hills and fully charged batteries around downtown Sioux Falls South Dakota. It was our first adventure on these bikes and figured we could easily make 19 mikes since we planned to pedal assist the entire ride. Well, at the half-way point the bikes died and we had to walk them back to our truck. You can not ride them if the battery is completely dead. This was a grueling journey back to our truck. We complained to Tru Ride and after a couple weeks of pictures and testimony, they agreed to replace the bikes with 2 new Bolt Pros …. But only after we returned the bikes at our expense. Well, that was an ordeal since I had already tossed the bike boxes. So, after a successful return, we received 2 brand new Bolt Pros, and before we struck out on any 19 mile journeys, we tested the new bikes in our neighborhood. The total range was only 6 miles while pedaling the entire ride. These 2 bikes were worse than the first 2. So, after a couple more weeks of pictures, testimony and even recording part of the test with my cell phone (upon their request) they agreed to send us 2 new J5’s … but informed us that this would be the last time to replace….. and this time they told us they didn’t want the bikes back.Well, we have now received and tested the new J5’s and THEY ARE NOT ANY better. The best we could get out of the J5’s was 11 miles while pedaling the entire ride, which meant about 1.5 hours on an easy joy ride.So bottom line ….. if $900-$1000 for 2 e-bikes that will only last a little over 1 hour (after charging for 4+ hours) is what you are looking for, then these bikes are for you!We do not see these bikes as our e-bike solution!!

Purchased this bike for my teen and it has been very fun this summer! I am not sure I would recommend this for full-grown adults, especially grown adult males, but this has been a great bike for my kids to ride around our neighborhood that has a lot of hills.

Idk who enjoys this more me at 33 or my 9 year old son. It holds be up great at 170lbs while I zoom through the neighborhood. It goes at just a good enough speed that feels safe for an adult or preteen. The brakes work well. Would buy again!

Had this for almost about a year and it's helped in many ways from helping to be in a music video and to get me places without having to spend money taking the bus and more! Just remember if you are to invest, take good care of it and the battery! I mostly use it just when I need it! It saved me money and time!

This Jetson scooter, with 14-inch wheels and a 350w motor, is pretty decent, seems reliable, and would work for most people who desire a non-pedaling scooter to get them around (commuting in the city and campgrounds/RVs come immediately to mind). I got it and liked it fine at first, but I live at the base of a mountain, and there are lots of hills, etc. in the area. It got me up medium grades, but it didn't work so well on the steeper stuff. It also used a lot of power carrying me uphill (5'9", 180 lbs), and in my neighborhood that translated to a top range of maybe seven miles.I took it to the city trail system that runs all around town. It's mostly flat, but often the track is unpaved with lots of small rocks scattered about. I lasted about a mile. With no shocks and small wheels, it was too rough a ride--and riding the trail system was one of my major intentions. Again, this is a decent bike that would work for many, especially on flat ground that's paved or fairly smooth. But in my situation it didn't quite cut it, so I returned it and got a more-powerful bike with shocks and longer range (Jetway, 750 volts,14ah), and that one does everything I need it to do.
