I’m a trucker and I use the mifi hotspot for my smart tv and gaming consoles, it works good for what I need it for but for someone that needs a hotspot for working in a laptop / computer I would recommend spending some money on a good one as this one does lag a bit .

Was replacing a similar device that was lost. When trying to get this device working had two issues. One - It was ordered without a SIM (was not sure if one included - but expected would get a SIM at the Verzion store and activate there) - but after multiple attempts and different SIMs (which cost $ ) it would not activate. Verizon support claimed the SIM they provided and IMEI were not compatible and then later the IMEI was already in use.or reused and therefore the device could not be activated. I would recommend ensuring you get a compbatible SIM and berfore reselling to ensuring the IMEI is clean. The other issue was the battery that came with the unit was dented. With damaged batteries going up in flames, could not risk it. Understand things happen and recommend ordering with a compatible SIM - since we could not wait -- had to purchase a store unit and return.I read the reviews beforehand and assume others may get units that just work fine .

The device works really well, BUT Verizon service is garbage compared to AT&T (at least in my area). AT&T was cheaper, had a stronger signal, plus it had a higher download/upload rate, so basically the service surpassed Verizon in every possible way. But I can't mark this device down due to the service, it's a very solid device that is one of the few ones that project a 5GHz wifi signal for a strong bandwidth.

I love it.I bought it as an unlocked internet solution for my regular business trips to the US.The Hotspot signal could be more powerful, but it's a nice trade-off for the battery life. it can go well beyond 15hrs. The speed is limited to what the service provider gives you, and so is the coverage. It seems to have a good reception. It warms up a little when tucked inside a backpack (warm. Never "hot"). The display is very useful and so are the functions. Its bright and easy to navigate with the buttons.TIP: the 3G antenna uses less power, so if you want to squeeze a couple of more hours out of this beauty, and you just want to use the social network and receive emails, switch to 3G network only.

It seems to be very flaky. Often times it doesn't show up as a Wi-Fi hotspot for a while even though it is nearby and claims to have a good signal. If I plug it in to charge while it is shutting down, it simply doesn't charge at all. I charged it overnight like this and the next day it was just as empty as when I plugged it in.In general it works fairly well, but it could be better.

People in the know had been telling me that the 6620L was worth every penny. After a few months of slumming on a hand-me-down 4510L (and previously a UMX240 on Straight Talk), I figured I'd take their advice. And holy wow. I'm glad I did. If you need a Verizon hotspot, this is the one to grab.Pros:- Fully GSM SIM unlocked. Got an AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket, FreedomPop, etc SIM? Slap it in, set the APN through the web management interface, done.- VERY strong signal. Compared to other devices, this gets a stronger signal using the exact same towers (CDMA, GSM, and LTE).- Very long battery life. The included battery is 4000mAh. I've been able to use this continually all day long without worrying about the battery.- Pass-through to charge a device using the internal battery. I have a nice Anker battery pack, but one less device when I don't need that much juice is welcome.- Great physical and web interfaces. Management is very easy and there are lots of options you can tinker with (if so inclined).- The info page displays signal strength in dB. I appreciate having that raw data instead of just bars.Cons:- Kind of on the bulky side. It makes it a little harder to get it into a dash-mount cradle.- GSM unlocked is for 2G/3G only, not LTE.
