These came individually wrapped and marked as EO sterilized. The depressors themselves seem nice and have a little flex to them. I would like to have seen the pull tabs a little longer to better grasp when wearing gloves if needed. I am not sure where the bamboo is in these. I can only think there are bamboo fibers in a molded resin. When I tried burning them they melted and all I can see are some very fine fibers. That might be where it is. I would like to know more about what resin was used though.

I got these as spreaders for glues, resins, and other things.I don't like using plastic for these one use items, as it is not Eco minded. These are while claiming to be made with bamboo, are not wood, they look, feel, sand, burn, and otherwise generally react just like plastics do.That said the upside, if you plan on reusing these, you may have a better chance of cleaning them between uses, compared to a real wooden tongue depressor. And these will be handy around the shop.I also like that the individual wrapped, wrapper is paper based, and not even more single use plastic. These would get a 3 star rating if they didn't have "Eco Friendly" on the package and were really made of bamboo wood, and not just using the bamboo in making the plastic. They are pretty cool as tongue depressors go, very metal, or goth if you will.

I have never heard of a tattoo client (myself included) complaining about the tongue depressor the artist is using, but I still grabbed these when I saw them, figuring that, all other things being equal, once I have clients of my own, they may set me apart just a LITTLE and, hey... every little bit counts sometimes! I have never seen black tongue depressors with imprinted graphics before and, again, all other things being equal, these just might get a client to remember me a bit more just because they tend to catch your attention. Probably silly thinking, I know and, don't worry, I am focusing all of my real energy on perfecting my art, but I saw these on Amazon and figured "why not?". My only complaint with the whole thing was that the box was smashed in shipping and the (individually sealed, thank goodness!) sticks were all floating around loose inside the shipping mailer along with the damaged box... no fault of the product, and I didn't take anything away because of it!Recommended!

These are so metal. If you use these you’re definitely cooler than the other tattooist. Individually packaged tongue depressors for professional use. Black as your soul!!

Good quality product. Easy to use for tattooing or waxing. Only bad thing is that they're all individually wrapped so it makes it more time consuming when trying to use them.

I'm not sure if these are actually bamboo? They seem more like just plastic to me, but I wouldn't know the specifics of it. It does get the job done and they seem to be of decent enough quality. Not bad overall.

When these Jet Black Tattoo Tongue Depressors arrived, I was curious to see what black tongue depressors would look like, so I immediately opened one of the sterile packages. I like that these are individually wrapped in paper, which is better than plastic. They are stamped on the front and back, which makes them look cool. I was surprised that the tongue depressor looked more like plastic or resin, than any kind of wood. I began to wonder what bamboo material is, so I did an internet search and couldn’t find articles on bamboo material. I decided to do some experimenting on this tongue depressor. It seems solid. I tried to break it by bending it. It bent pretty far, before it snapped in half. There were no wood splinters. It was a clean break. I took a knife and whittled some shavings off. They were hard, black, and plastic like. I decided to put it in the edge of my wood fire to see if it would burn or melt. It melted. I was able to pull it apart and fold it on itself. It didn’t cause black smoke, like plastic and had no noticeable odor. I pulled it out of the wood stove and put it in water. It became hard, like melted plastic (see my photos). I still don’t know what bamboo material is, but I’m questioning how eco friendly it is.

They are individually wrapped and are sturdy. The multipack conveys a great value to me. They are great. The sizing is good and they are made of great quality bamboo.
