This is a very unusual item... how many times have you seen half an umbrella? We have the perfect spot for it, on our front deck where the roof overhangs slightly. The construction seems to be first rate. Colors are bright, and the mechanism works as expected. This feels like a quality umbrella.Let's see how well it holds up to the constant sun this summer. Other umbrellas haven't fared well and their colors tended to fade. I'll do an update in the fall with photos.

I like to place my grill alongside the screen wall. On my old umbrela shade, since it’s round it makes it hard to place the grill on a corner. With this half umbrella that takes care of that issue. It seems sturdy, no assembly needed except just connecting the extender to the umbrella. It opens/closes smoothly as expected on a new item. I wish it came with more color options though but this is great for saving space
