Once I got the solenoid adjusted and wired I turned the engine over about 24 times before this solenoid quit! Tired of buying China Junk!

I read other poor reviews on this so I tested it right out of the box. While the pull in winding worked, the hold in winding failed. I contacted Amazon who said I could return it, but I opted to use the plunger from the new one and the electronic part of my old solenoid to make one working unit.

This was a very good value for the price. Others online started out almost 4 times more expensive. Direct fit, works great, would absolutely purchase again if needed.

I bought this fuel shut down solenoid for a build I'm working on and, of course, didn't check its functioning until I needed it, which was after the return window closed. It does not retract its plunger without being physically pushed and that can't be done at each engine shut down. Spend the $100 plus dollars and get one that works! These are junk!

works great, but it is smaller in diameter than original Cummins, so I had to drill and tap mounting bracket, (saving existing holes for future)

Bolted right up without the mount kit (but was only a few dollars more, so the extra parts are never bad to have). Make sure you get the orientation correct (one way works, the other binds up and won't function for me). Has been working for a few months now. My factory solenoid was 20 years old and had 450K on it, so it was in need of a tear down and clean up. This was been working perfectly to tide me over in the mean time. For the price, it's a no brainer. Do be sure to clean your connections in the wiring leading to the relay and possibly think about getting a bypass wired in for a direct connection from the positive stud next to the battery to the voltage in on the relay. Also, I lubed and deburred the loop at the end of the solenoid where it goes over the pump pin because I didn't want to have to mess around with things after the fact.Update: Bought this in December of 2017. It is now April 2020 (oh, the wonders of the Covid Pandemic!) and my "El Cheapo" solenoid is still working fine in my daily driver at 471K. I haven't gotten around to cleaning up the old factory unit but this is fine for the time being. Unless quality has changed, they seem to be pretty reliable.Update: Jan. 2022 and it's still in service just fine. Still haven't replaced it with my original at all.
