Good for the price, strips easy, strand count good, flexibility good. They only minus is the shield coverage is not as good a Belden wire but the price is NOT like Belden wire-it is right for the quality. Belden $150/100ft, Value-Pro $27/100ft -- so For me it's good enough.

I was advised to use Beldon RG-174 to wire sensitive signals within a guitar amp. Rather than pay 2X the price I bought Jameco instead. It seems to have stiffer shielding than other brands I have used (a good thing, as it provides better mechanical stress relief). No complaints with this product, though I do not know first-hand how it compares to Beldon.

I bought this coax to use to connect small RF circuit boards together. I found this coax to be difficult to strip. The center conductor is stranded and not very durable. I think I'm being generous giving it 2 stars. I have since ordered some LMR-100 with a sold center conductor and am much happier with that.

By far, as third-party sellers go, JAMECO Electronics has the best pricing and best quality products I have found here on Amazon. The product RG-174 has a solid silicone insulation, a robust RF shielding (unbraided, but it is negligible for my particular application) and a silicone (Maybe Teflon) jacket around the 26 AWG copper wire. As a consumer, if you are in the market for RG-174 or RG-58 cables and are reading this, you have come to the right place. They also have an exhausting variety of other electronic/electrical components that makes me feel like I'm back in Academy for electrical engineering. Great cable for a great price. I needed to use it in a precision measurement and its leakage was unmeasurable, behond 1000M for the full roll, and the transmission line behavior was appropriate on an impedance plot. It was easy to strip, solder and shielded my signal well.
