The bulb I was able to open works great. The other one, the plastic was so tight it was really hard to open. When it finally popped opened the bulb went flying and smashed on the ground. I would open close to the ground over a rug.

I checked a number of local places and couldn't find this type of bulb or the prices were much higher. Still have the same kind of bulb (there were two - one died and is now replaced) working after 5.5 years, so the extra should last until we move ... some years down the road. Many thanks.
