I recently purchased this face shield for added protection and am very pleased with the quality. It is comfortable and has good face coverage.

The shield is easy to assemble - I curved the band around to fit my big head. There are various sizings using little bumps that snap into the holes on the band. It has a very soft, I think will be easy to clean, sponge, peeled off a paper on the back of the sponge and placed it so it would protect my forehead on the shield's band so only the sponge - sensitive skin friendly - NOTE: I did take of one star because it does fog up . I will try to purchase some lens cleaner or maybe try hand sanitizer on it... All I know is it gives as it says a shield. Now, I am wearing safety glasses under it because with the fan blowing on me , air still blows up and around the shield. I do not think I could wear it alone for what I personally need it for. Just sitting I see well through the shield with only it. I just enhance it with safety glasses, and hair net. The sides of the hard / firm plastic (not flimsy) does "bow" outwards on the bottom edges. But what I do which works for me is I have my headset/ headphones on and it thus holds the edges down or close to my face. I read somewhere that someone took a hair tie, like an elastic band and curled the plastic for a short time before unrolling it to attach to the band. I had previously purchased a set of 10 of another brand - and wasted $20. On that brand the plastic would not stay attached. With this JACKSON safety shield - once attached you would have to manually remove the plastic if you wanted to for whatever reason. I don't think I will need another of these for a long time this shield is that sturdy. The only thing I could think that would be better would be a helmet!!! hahaha... I am reading that you remove a film from the shield and it will not fog. I have tried and cannot get any film off of this shield.

First of all, there is a very thin film protection on the shield & the directions do NOT say to remove it, it comes off easily once you get it going. I bought one of these in May to see if I would like it. I liked it & so did my husband so I just received my 2nd one. I like the very secure & adjustable head band & the shield is very secure on the band. The 1st face shield came with a very good foam “sweatband”. The 2nd one came with one with much less quality. It’ll do but it was disappointing.

I have been an Amazon customer since 1998. I have purchased a hundred or more items each year. This is clearly the worst. It is TOTALLY UNUSABLE. The plastic shield which I assume is supposed to be clear is frosted like bathroom window modesty glass. It might protect your face but you CANNOT SEE thru it. Hence it has NO USE. I tried cleaning it two different ways. The material is not dirty. It has a matted surface which is clearly part of the product.

I left a very long negative review, and I had to erase that review. This is my dunce moment. I trashed the visor because I did not think you could see out of it. I thought it was low quality.I bought this because of Jackson Safety’s name. They have been manufacturing PPE for several years. They are just one notch below Sellstrom, which hospitals are using. So I was surprised that I could not see out of the visor.Another reviewers thought this was a new company and was like keep trying; nice first attempt.Well, there is a protective film on the front of the visor. It does not look like there is a film, because it is perfectly flush with the visor. It took me about 5 minutes to start the peeling process from the bottom front of the visor. But, once I got it started, it was easy to remove. I now have a crystal clear visor. You must remove the protective film on the visor. The visor out of the box does not look like it had a film on it. Trust me, it is on there. In my defense, I did not wear it out in public with the film on it. But I definitely had to change my one star review to 5 stars. It met my expectation for one of their lower end face shields (they make several).

The shape splays out--does not match image. Does not curve inward sufficiently, cannot turn head or it hits shoulder and lifts up and off. Holes for visor line up but takes real strength to push through. Thick (strong) Plastic has hundreds of spots and scratches visible when held up to any light source. Even with the foam band which I would have preferred to not use, visor presses on glasses. Ow. There is a flip up, quick release string back, two part visor, almost invisible, thinner flexible plastic, much lighter weight NO LONGER AVAILABLE, on Amazon from some eastern european country. WHY DO DESIGNERS REINVENT SOMETHING BADLY when a good design already exists? That is not a rhetorical question.

Works great. Very comfortable to wear. Shield is easy to clean. It is fog resistant but it does still fog sometimes, way better than the ones I've been using.

I have flown with this shield a few times. Technically it is fine. Made well. However there is no "film" to remove and the shield is scratched and not clear. It appears not everyone got the same product. I am disappointed but it still serves its purpose for sitting on the plane.
