I’d been looking for a way to teach the kids gratitude. We talk about it often, but I’d been hoping for something more hands-on. This journal has been so much fun! We’ve been using it together as a family. I love how it encourages use for more than one person (i.e. siblings, family, etc.) Our 7 & 8 year olds both enjoy the writing prompts – fun, open ended questions or ‘tasks.’ From as simple as ‘how was your day?’ to listing things we’re grateful for, to reminding us to take deep breaths. Also comes with stickers, which is always fun! The journal itself is good quality, spiral bound with nice thick pages and colorful graphics. For younger kids, this is a good way to get them to practice their writing/spelling, while bonding with you or siblings. This gratitude journal is a great way to spend time together, to wind down at the end of the day and take a few minutes to remind ourselves why we’re lucky. This would make a good gift for a mindful, thoughtful kid, ages 7-12. The packaging is nice and it’s like a gift when you open it!

I got this journal for my 8 year old and we absolutely love it! One thing I’m always trying to instill in my kids is to be grateful and humble human beings. This journal is great in teaching these habits. It makes them more aware of their behavior towards their blessings. I also like how my daughter can use this journal as everyday dairy, it’s perfect for expressing her feelings. It came in a nice box so it makes a perfect gift for your loved ones.

The “Gratitude Book” is a beautifully crafted, hardcover, spiral-bound book filled with about 25 pages of engaging and interactive activities. These activities include scavenger hunts, where children can search for pictures of their favorite person, something that makes them laugh, something yellow, and a gift they can give to someone they love. The book begins by encouraging children to be grateful for themselves—a message I absolutely love!It continues by explaining various ways to show gratitude, such as surprising someone with their favorite snack or giving them a big warm hug. Throughout the book, there are sections for children to express their thoughts, draw pictures, color, or paste photos of people and things they are thankful for. This book is an amazing tool to teach children what gratitude is and why it’s important. It uses pictures and interactive activities to help children understand how to reflect on their feelings of gratitude. The book guides them through different ways to be grateful, including coloring, writing, and drawing. There are dedicated weeks for focusing on gratitude in nature, at home, and with family. One of the standout features is a picture of a jar at the end of the book, where the child can write down things they are grateful for. I give this book 5 stars for its spiral-bound form, creative approach to keeping a child’s interest, and its guidance in teaching children to be grateful for themselves first and then for others. My grandkids will love learning about gratitude and feel good about spreading their love to others!

This comes in a sturdy, colorful box. The box is easy to open. No plastic wrap or ties. Inside, you'll find some natural colored tissue paper, sealed with a sticker. The book is well protected. The smaller pieces are well protected too in a flat cello envelope. The book itself is spiral bound with a hard, colorful color. The back cover oddly, as well protected as it arrived, had some scratches in the finish, where the lamination(?) was sort of bubbled up. I don't think my child would care, but I noticed it.The art inside is fun and colorful, each page faces a blank white page that they can get creative on.Stickers and bookmark are nice quality.Prompts are great for the given age range. The name of the item mentions "girls" three separate times, but the art in the book seems to equally have boys and girls depicted in the art. There are a couple of heart stickers and a baby doll sticker, but nothing about the book that I noticed was just for girls. The 5th picture in the description that shows "experiences" on the left page and the "flower" on the right is inaccurate, because every other page is blank.

At $16 as of this writing, this is a good value. There's nice prompts to help your littles think through various forms of gratitude for others and themselves. I like the activities and considerations. The stickers are nice and diverse on theme. The book itself has a hard cover with a spiral, allowing wider location use. About half the pages are blank, intended to be used for creative inspiration from the other activities. It's a clever idea, but keep that in mind when you see the thickness--it's not al prompts.
