I bought this first to save a few dollars, however, the ammunition would not lock in. It fit over the ammunition on the loading dock great but when I twisted to lock the bullets in, well it would lock them in. I ask question on the review section and they ask if I turn the top to lock it in. I twisted hard but it wouldn't lock. It may have just been a defective one but don't have time to replace and take the chance. I order the more expensive one with the spring to push and lock in and it works great.

This is the only SL I could find for my LCR .22 WMR. It holds the rounds and loads them well. What else do you want an SL to do?

First off 5 star makes the most reasonably priced speedloaders for my .22 magnum Ruger LCR. I often carry mine on duty and speed strips are not fast enough for me. These are also the most durable speedloaders I have ever laid my hands on. Way better than HKS. I love the fact that they fluted the speedloaders. It makes reloading much easier since the loader does not get hung up on the hogue rubber grips. I threw on my larger set of hogue g10 grips and the speedloaders still fit and functioned properly.I’m generally not a fan of twist release speedloaders, but the only other option happens to be a push button speed beez loader which costs 2 times the amount of these 5 Star loaders.Not much else I can say. If you own a .22 magnum Ruger LCR, this is the best way to carry extra ammo.

It grabs the rounds well and lines up perfectly. It's easy to turn to release them into the cylinder. Very nice looking material, just wish it was a bit cheaper.
