These aprons are designed with paint splotches already on them, which is both genius and mildly insulting, as it feels like the manufacturer is saying, “Let’s just skip to the inevitable.”The design has one unexpected benefit: it makes it impossible to tell if your kid is messy. After one particularly chaotic painting session, I walked into the room, saw her wearing the smock, and admired the design. Turns out, it was just spaghetti sauce and glitter glue.
