The drop-forged head features a fully polished smooth hammer face with beveled edges on one side and a wide chisel edge on the other. The hickory handle is constructed of contoured and lacquered hardwood that works to absorb vibration. The hammer head is securely fastened to the handle with a triple wedge head-to-handle assembly. I’m a mason and this is by far the best brick hammer I’ve had. Light weight for cracking brick, splitting block, and chipping cultured stone. I’ll be buying a few more just in case someone sets mine on the block wall and knocks it down the core!
