I was hoping for a pair of soft, supple, comfortable shorts that moves well and feels nice on the skin - and that's exactly what this is. The fabric feels like a perfect combo of cotton sweatpants and a bathing suit - very soft, smooth, and stretchy. The material is thin enough to be lightweight and breathable, but has enough substance to it to feel well-made and durable. All of the seams and hems are neat and tight. The pockets are generously sized, so very functional for carrying a phone, keys, tissues, etc. while jogging, cycling, or running errands. The simple colorblock design is modern, attractive, and allows the shorts to be paired with a variety of solid or patterned tops for workout and casual attire.I'm 5'3", 105 lbs, and have a 28" waist. The Small shorts fit me comfortably and the elastic waistband ensures they stay up, but they could easily stretch to accommodate a larger waist size. If I wear them at my hip bones, as I prefer, the bottom hem falls mid-thigh (just to the tip of my middle finger if I stand straight with my arms flat along my sides), which makes these sufficiently conservative for my office on casual Fridays. For a shorter, more flattering fit, I can fold the waistband and/or wear the shorts a bit higher, around my belly button.

Super soft and functional. This item will have me covered from the backyard to the beach all the way to a casual lunch. Very comfortable for all day use. Perfect for a bathing suit cover. Toss on a casual shirt and you can roll to lunch looking all sporty.The short is done very well with quality stiching throughout. The waist line elastic is grabbing but very flexible. You won't worry about shorts dropping or the need to adjust up. These stay in place but allow you to bend run and exercise with ease. I like the retro design of these shorts. I'm 5'3 and 155 pounds. I ordered a size large. They fit fine in the waist, but the crotch hung down a little too low on me. I flipped the waistband once to get them to fit more the way I like. The fabric is nice and soft and feels kinda silky. Other than the rise being too high, I'd say these are decent.
