I bought several different items to replace canned air dusters, this is the one that works, and boy does it. I can blow out computers, keyboards, desk drawers, nooks and crannies. I use is often. It's a bit noisy but I don't care about that. nice long high-quality cord. The tip is a bit weak but works fine. This was the first electric blower with enough power to get the job done that I found, and it doesn't fade away after a few minutes of get freezing cold like canned dusters. It's a good product.

For 3 decades I've been using my air compressor to blow the dust out of electronics. In case you're not aware plenty of people will give you frowny faces and warnings about that. The air can be too forceful, moist, oily, etc. If you don't know how to deal with all of those issues then definitely don't use an air compressor. I finally decided to get a dedicated duster mostly due to convenience and not dealing with a hose from my compressor which is used mainly for automotive and carpentry. I couldn't recommend the AirTec Ultra more. It's convenient, compact and as powerful as is needed. It has a number of tips to shape and diffuse the airflow along with brush tips to help with stubborn dust. No worry about how clean the air is either as no moisture or oil can (typically) be introduced into the air flow as needs to be filtered with a compressor. This is also a much better solution than canned compressed air, it never runs out. I know people who spend this much for compressed air cans in a month, this is such a better solution. High quality feel, nice balance, I actually wish I'd made the switch a long time ago.

Yes, these are super powerful, easy to use, lightweight to handle, and great for all the obvious reasons such as cleaning dust off computer keyboards or cleaning out a computer tower (you know... all the tasks you might have previously spent $$$ on all those cans of compressed air. But this Duster/Blower has so many more useful purposes!Favorite uses thus far:+ First blast dust on parts of the house, go rambo and then let it settle and vacuum up the fallout+ Need to clean your venetian blinds? Choose a more diffuse nozzle and blast 'em! (no more wiping)+ Ceiling fans! Forget the stretching with a pole above your head... blast 'em!+ Car dashboard and those pesky air vents. Detail your interior the laaaazy way : )+ Window sills... oh yeah. Easy.+ Window screens, so easy.Plenty more (just add your creativity). And when it comes time to clean the filter, gently pinch it out of the bottom of the unit, turn it over, and blast the filter clean, then simply squish it back in.In a perfect world, it would have a locking on/off switch rather than the momentary switch, but even on the longest cleaning, I haven't found it to be any trouble, and it's probably best to have it momentary the way it is, so that you don't blast something longer than you should. Have fun with this one!!!

Reviewing Type 3 version. First I used it to clean 2 very dusty PC fans. It did a good job, only the slight base layer of dust was still left behind, but the fans will be used right away again so I don't think they need to be perfect. The next day I cleaned two fans we use in the house, a wind machine and an oscillating stand fan. Satisfying clouds of dust were blown out of each. From regular arm level I could even blow dust off the garage floor. The unit is smaller than I was expecting but that's good. I've only used it a few times but no problems so far. The power level seems just about right, not worried about breaking anything but still does the job. I haven't used a can of compressed air in a long time so I'm not sure how it compares.I could see people not liking the momentary power switch that you have to hold down, it's got a surprisingly strong spring so it takes some effort to keep it down with your thumb, but I understand why it is there, to encourage you to use it in short bursts and not keep the motor running for too long. I was able to keep the button held at lengths for as long as I could ever imagine needing to do, and I felt the discharge air temperature rise slightly, but nowhere near to any degree where I've seen people say the air gets "too hot" from these types of devices.I do wish that it wasn't only the more costly Type 6 that mentions using ESD safe materials to avoid static electricity. Both models are advertised for PC use but the Type 3 does not specify ESD safety. I am hesitant to actually point this right into my PC, although I see reviews where many people have had no problems with it. I removed the fans and cleaned those, and the slight dust inside my PC case I just wiped up while I had things disassembled. Seems like Type 3 should not be listed for PC use if it does not have the same level of ESD safety. I did not need the more powerful motor or 2 speed switch of the Type 6.It is good that the attachments have locking tabs, I was considering a different brand until I read that the attachments could actually blow off because they were the type to just slip on with no locking tab.I am happy with it so far and it will save over buying duster cans. Just a shame that upon receiving it I don't really want to actually use it directly on my PC or expensive components. It would probably be fine, but I don't want to find out. Can't comment on longevity yet but I will definitely come back to report if it doesn't last.
