I needed some bookshelf speaker stands, and decided to both roll the dice and splurge on these. My reluctance vanished when i got them set up and in place. I had serious doubts these would change how my speakers actually sound but they make an obvious and positive difference.Honestly I had expected to return these and now Im not only keeping them but have ordered sets for some of my buddies because they are a hard sell, but once you have them and see that they make a difference you'll probably always have them in the future.

I had a cheap knockoff version before and it collapsed. These are rock solid, isolate the sound and if your room is proper, it does reduces a buildup of bass frequencies. Highly recommend

Extremely effective in minimizing speaker accosting coupling with the floors. Eliminates vibrations, distortions, wall resonance. Loud and clear bass, midrange, voice. A must for any audiophile.

They solved a problem I had with some new powered monitors that are larger and heavier than my previous stands could handle. That said, the materials and finish on these isn't nearly as nice as the other stands, which sell for a comparable price. The legs are press fit into vibration dampening material that is fairly flexible. This creates two problems. One the depth of the insertion isn't uniform and even after adjustment the whole cage (top and bottom brackets, legs and the elastometer make for a somewhat wobbly affair. They are next to me as I write this and I reached over and shook one of the support pillars and the whole thing shakes. I would rather have paid a bit more and gotten an assembly that was more secure. IsoAcoustics makes excellent products (and very expensive), I wish they made a similar desktop stand (with the 8" height) that was a little better made.

I didn't expect much, to be completely honest. I inherited a pair of hand-me-down JBL speakers, circa 1985. The sound was decent, and they had more bass than anything I've ever owned before. The midrange felt muddled though.I just wanted to get them up off the floor - purely for aesthetic purposes. They are way too big to mount on the wall, so I needed some sort of pedestal.I now realize I have incredible speakers. They are aimed perfectly so they hit my ears when sitting on my sofa. The pedestals appear to completely isolate the vibration of the speaker cabinets - no interference from the floor. They resonate. The midrange is no longer muddled. The bass is richer. I'm blown away by the difference. Now, rather than saving up for a new pair of speakers, I'm going to invest in components that maximize these.

Broke in half the first time I tried to disassemble it. Didn't even get one put together so I can't comment on whether or not they work. For the price I thought they might be cast aluminum but they're most definitely cheap plastic.Returning... I'll build my own.

I just received a brand new set of Kali Audio LP-6 for my home studio. Because of my desk height I needed to raise the speakers up so they were at the proper placement. I'm happy to say that these stand do the trick perfectly. Based on my desk height, the speakers are right in the pocket--the sweater is exactly early level and just above the 1/2 point oft he room's height. To see how well these work you can put on some good base heavy music, lightly touch the speaker and feel it vibrate, then touch the support legs and feel the vibrate, then put your hands not he desk where the stand sits--no vibration AT ALL. The sound is definitely clearer. Some folks they say they are expensive for what they are, and I say "yea they are not cheap," but I'll say this they work and they are solid.
