Ok but needs side lines to pull out from your shoulders/hips so you don’t get bit!! It hangs down & touches the hammock on the sides.Otherwise goodFor the rest of your body if you don’t mind getting bit on your arms & hips

I would rate it lower but the tear doesn't seem to be bad enough to ruin it. I think it will be fine for further use. I'll put it to the test this weekend. If the tear worsens or something I may request a refund on this one, but it was easy to put up, light weight and inexpensive.

Only thing that can ruin a day hanging in the hammock is having bugs bothering you the entire time. This solves the problem and keeps them at bay. Nice mesh material. Small enough to keep most of not all bugs away.

This thing is a life-saver as long as you hang it up correctly and ensure you get the ends closed up. We hammock camp on multi-day raft trips, and the mosquitos are overwhelming in the early summer. I bring bug juice, but I hate slathering Deet all over me and my kids, so we wear mosquito netting shirts, pants, and hats. But sleeping in the mosquito netting suits isn't that comfortable, and you can hear them trying to land on your face all night. That is why we got this! You just need to ensure you get it set up right and then kill all mosquitos that make it under the netting when you get into your hammock. Once you set it up and destroy any that have made it under the net with you, this thing is AWESOME! No annoying bug nets against your face, no more sleepless nights, try to fight off billions of mosquitos! Just rest and have peace of mind knowing you are protected under this armored force field! I can still hear the blood-sucker bussing a little at night, but not nearly as loud as when we wear the mosquito suits. This is definitely the way to go if you hammock-camp in Mosquito territory!

A bug net is a must for sleeping in your hammock or sometimes even having a restful nap or siesta. I've always loved hammocks but this is my first bug net, so I can't say whether this is better than others. However, I can say this is relatively easy to use, feels durable, and works very well to keep the bugs at bay while I'm in the hammock. Love it!

Whenever you get into any sort of gear that can be used for backpacking, weight becomes a topic. Ounces add up fast and the difference between 8oz and 12oz can be pretty important...that's ¼ of a pound. There are bug nets available from well-known hammock manufacturers that weigh 16oz but they are meant more for hanging in your backyard or at a park where you're not carrying that 16oz net very far on your back. There are also ultralight hammock nets available at under 8oz. These tend to be made with finer mesh which does great at protecting against smaller insects but doesn't let the air flow through as easily, making them hot sometimes. This hammock bug net strikes a balance between these two types. At just over 12oz, it's right between the ultralight and backyard classes of bug nets. The mesh feels quite strong compared to my sub-8oz hammock net and the air holes are larger, allowing for better air flow through this net. It is also a stiffer mesh so it doesn't drape as well over the hammock as a lighter one, but it's not as stiff as the 16oz nets I've seen either.Overall, this feels to me to be one of the better options for the casual hammocker who might want to go on a day hike and hang a hammock and bug net somewhere with a good view for a couple hours. It would also serve just as well for a backyard hang spot and is not prohibitively heavy to bring along on the occasional backpacking trip either.I enjoy having it as a more durable net I can use for day hangs while reserving my sub-8oz net for backpacking trips. I now also have a spare net to lend to a friend if we want to day hang or go hammock camping. For the price this is a solid net and I'm glad to have it.

I love the design of this hammock net. It's very easy to install, with just one cord, and then the attached carry case acts as a pocket. I had no issues getting in and out of it. The price is great, and I can now rest comfortably in my hammock without being bitten by any bugs or creepy crawlies.

This is an especially worthwhile purchase. If you have a hammock and actually use it, this takes your experience to the next level by keeping the rotten little bloodsuckers off you while you recline and nap. Also keeps birds from messing on you while you sleep - don't ask - and keeps opossums and squirrels from getting too inquisitive about your personal space. Easy to set up.
