This is one gnarly bit! I needed it to drill holes in white birch for my wedding decorations and this was the ONLY thing that got the job done. Great product!

The 3x bit is well made and cuts fast, but it gets clogged with shavings causing the operator to have to stop to clear the chips after every half inch or so of drilling. At least this was the case when I used it to drill in white pine.

Good fast cutting although I've found the self feed to be a little fast for me so I grind most of the threads off the pilot allowing me to easier control the feed rate.Spencer Boyd[...]

These things are exceptional, especially for the price.The one failing they do have is sometimes the lead screw strips the wood out and clogsthe thread that pulls the holesaw in.[only in certain timber types though.]On the good side I have drilled 18 inches of hardwood with a 1 1/2" and a battery drill,no dramas.
