After my husband passed, my son was in charge of my yard watering. He hated my "cheap" Controller and told me "if he was in charge I would get a controller like his, and I DID.

I am a luddite at heart. Simplicity is the key to my satisfaction. The instructions are easy. The Installation is easy and the results are good. That is all you need from a product in my estimation. That is why this is the third one of this product that I have purchased.

My sprinkler system at home didn't work since last year, cause it was winter already and no need too much water. So I just manual spreading the water. But I need to get this fixed; I'm not gonna call the Landscaping company to charge a lot of money which you can fix it yourself. So I did a lot research found out it just needs to replace the timer. So I started google for the best price, and this one came up the best value. I just receive it today, it takes me 2 mins to install the new one and it works right away. By the way I just need the timer part of this product, and the box and circuit board was not needed at all. I thought maybe I should just return this and get that part only maybe will save some money, but you know what I found out everywhere else sells that alone even more expensive than this whole package. So I think this seller was not kind of ripping off price at least not too much.So if you guys need this, should get this one.

I purchased the RD600 from this seller to replace the same brand, slightly older model that had worked for 15+ years. Wiring, placement, valve loads, everything was exactly the same as the previous. It's installed in a temp controlled garage out of the elements. After less than two months in place, this new one is a mess. The current day and time are programmed correctly, the various sprinkler and drip system days/times are set just as the previous one, and yet this "new" one turns on during days/times it's not even programmed for! For example it is now Monday, May 2 and despite having all three Mondays turned OFF for all three possible (A, B, C) programs, it cycled on and is running valve no. 1 today. It seemed to be quirky since day one but we chalked it up to our programming mistakes. I tried zeroing out all programs and started over, yet the malfunctions continue. It turns on our irrigation systems during the wrong days/times and fails to turn on certain valves at all. Thankfully we've kept an eye on things and turned zones on manually when it failed. Of course, we're now past the "return deadline" of April 8 and we're incensed to say the least. This is clearly an electronics malfunction but we're screwed. It's acting almost as if it was a defective return that was perhaps "refurbished"? It would be great if the seller would step up but not holding out hope. Live and learn.
