This device sends a signal to the roomba vacuum from cleaning where there are cords that the vacuum can get tangled. Works perfectly. Reasonable price.

I bought these sensors for my iRobot. They work great at keeping my iRobot from entering certain areas. Great product and great price. I would recommend it for anyone that needs to control the IRobot movements

This works great for keeping the roomba from attacking things like dog bowls with food and water, the Christmas tree and whatever else the roomba doesn't need to go near.

I have bot been able to set my IRobot for individual rooms yet. But I gave a very large living/dining room (open floor plan). The doorway to my family room is a 10 foot archway and one of these effectively blocked it so the roomba remained where i wanted it. Also, there us a 6 foot doorway into my kitchen. Same thing. They are little but they are mighty. Great product.

These little guys work great. Creates a virtual wall indeed. The Roomba approaches it and just turns the other way. Comes with AA batteries, which a lot of other ones do not come with. The only negative thing about these I have to say is that there's a sticker that shows an arrow to peel it off. But when you peel off the sticker, it leaves sticker residue. Had to use a sticker/residue remover spray to get rid of it. Ideally Roomba should use vinyl stickers so that they're easier to peel off. Other than that, great!

Last year we bought a Roomba i4 which came with one virtual wall. The Roomba works great and the wall barrier is handy to block off a section of hallway or a door that doesn't quite close properly. But with Christmas here one barrier isn't really enough to protect the Christmas tree and the presents under it. So we ordered two more. So far they work great. They will also be really useful when we want to vacuum just the kitchen (which has two entrances) or block off larger areas of the house. I also liked that these came with batteries, so that I could use them as soon as I got them. Overall I am really happy I ordered these.

bought an e5 (5150) Roomba to clean the downstairs area, mainly the kitchen. we placed the main unit in the kitchen/dining area as it is the room that needs the most cleaning. however, we found that the e5 Roomba did a poor job of properly cleaning the downstairs area. it kept bumping around through all the downstairs areas randomly, missing many spots in the rooms. we were planning to return the robot because of that problem, until i found this barrier. i bought 2 of these barriers so as to section out the downstairs area and help the roomba focus on one small area at a time. i placed these barriers (virtual wall mode) in a way that the roomba could not leave the kitchen area. in this way, the roomba can only bump through the kitchen area (a much smaller area than it would cover without the barriers in place) and give it a proper and full clean. if i want it to clean the other downstairs areas, i simply lift the roomba over the barrier and place it in that area to give that a chance for a full clean (making sure to collect it later as the barrier will prevent it from going home to its base!). one note, when using the virtual wall, make sure nothing is blocking the path of the barrier's beam as any blocks will allow the roomba to slip through and cross into unwanted territories (once a family member had been standing in the path of the barrier's beam and the diligent little roomba happened to be right by the border at that moment and was able to cross behind their leg and into the next room)assembly and use is easy. install the batteries and then slide the switch between 2 available modes. pick a mode and the light will flash briefly and barrier will be good to go. roombas are expensive and top of the line models with room mapping (that allows for a laid out, full clean) are way more expensive and this barrier helps kind of rein in the random bumping of the cheaper models and give a better cleaning experience. wish that the barriers could be linked to the app in the same way as the roomba just for a smoother experience but its not big deal.
