Many of my hobbies are creative endeavors and wind up taking up space on my desk or on other surfaces of furniture in my room. Which is fine, when I’m working on creative projects and need access to my supplies on a regular basis. But if I swap to another kind of creative project or find a new creative hobby, the supplies become clutter that takes away valuable workspace or winds up in some undesignated pile or container and buried. The amount of times that I’ve purchased things I could have sworn that I already had because I thought I looked everywhere and couldn’t find it is… an unfortunate amount.So these bins were purchased for my creative supplies. Currently, I’m very invested in embroidery. The supplies I’ve accumulated no longer for comfortably in their previously designated fabric bin. These containers solve my problem!They’re clear, allowing me to ascertain exactly which hobby supplies are inside the container. It’s a nice size, perfect for stacking so I can make a little container tower and not waste furniture surface space, and seem sturdy. Highly satisfied!

Not super sturdy, so don't expect to fill them with really heavy items. Not over about 3-5 lbs.Lids lock on loosely, not strong latch.Great for storing lots of things. Stack easily. I use them for many different things. Perfect for sorting supplies and manipulative in a classroom!

Great for storing my sons miscellaneous toys. I was able to organize them and I love that they are clear and I can see what is inside. I gave 4 star for durability because the tops are not as strong. 2 of them have cracked already.

I bought the same style plastic containers with the same dimensions via a different seller. What this product description did fantastically was give us the correct measurements of the interior instead of the lid. I thought they would be a little smaller but there exactly the same. The one downside I have that happened with the other product I bought was that 2 of the containers stick together and when you try to take them apart it breaks. Other than that no damage. Perfect condition. The plastic used is also a little thin so keep that in mind.

These boxes were almost perfectly sized for my purposes. And having some similar IRIS USA boxes that were quality items, I hoped these would meet my needs totally.But...Lids - described as "Latching" and "Certified by Green Circle for environmentally friendly plastic airtight storage container" - will not latch onto the boxes. While they have small latches on the two long ends, the design is such that they will not securely latch on both sides at the same time. The design will make moving these boxes an exercise in keeping the lids on the boxes. Not to mention, with the lids on, they are definitely not even remotely close to airtight.Stacking - described as "... has groves on the lid and body to create a secure stacking experience. IRIS USA lid-body construction ensures stability to stack securely for easy moving...". These boxes are not really stackable when compared to other similar products. The grooves on the bottom of the box, are not really big enough to keep these boxes from slipping when stacked and thus they do not stack well at all as any movement causes the upper box to slide. As for easy moving, any "stacked" box will likely end up on the floor unless you can keep the lower boxes absolutely level and move them VERY slowly.And finally, they are shipped "nested" within each other. And some of the boxes were so tightly stuck together, that they were almost impossible to separate. I literally had to almost fold one of the boxes completely in half to break the vacuum seal between the two boxes sufficiently to separate them. The sharpish plastic edges of these boxes could potentially cut a persons skin during this process. Fortunately, once separated, it appears no permanent damage was done to to my skin or to either box.

I've been buying specific sizes of Iris clear plastic bins for years since I first stumbled upon them on Amazon in 2016. My favorite, go-to bins were the 6 and 13.5 qt sizes. I have noticed over the years an apparent decrease in the thickness of the plastic material used to make the bins. Nevertheless, I was willing to keep buying the bins because Iris' were among the very few that were essentially the same dimensions at the bottom as at the top (many taper towards the bottom and make it impossible to fit bulky shoes/boots in them), had almost squared off corners, stacked well enough on top of each other, AND had lids that had latch-shaped edges (instead of a big, bulging latch) that were small and integrated into the underside of the lid edges. But best of all the lids latched closed AND STAYED THAT WAY until I unlatched them. (Iris' lids made a distinctive latching sound when the lid engaged the underside of the rim of the bin). I could stuff the 6 qt size with a pair of bulky, thick-soled, size 9 women's Uggs-type suede/fur lined ankle boots and the bin would bulge at the top and sides but still keep the lid latched closed; no popping off. Not anymore. And this has been an issue for at least over a year.The batch of 6 qt "latching" bins that I just purchased have lids that just barely manage to latch closed (none of that distinctive latching sound with these bins!), and any movement effectively pops the latch and releases the lid. And it's not as if the price has gone down to adjust for the inferior latching ability.This used to be my go-to, 5 star (6, if I could rate that highly) clear latching bin. Now its among the just ok, thin, sometimes cracking in the corners, but still same top and bottom dimensioned lidded, bins. At best 3 stars.I've seen comments from other reviewers about the thinness and latching issues. I'd be willing to put up with the thinness IF ONLY IRIS WOULD BRING BACK ITS OLD, SUPERIOR LATCHING LID. Please, Iris, don't your loyal customers deserve at least that?
