Predict Wind provided amazing customer service, support, and options. I have never experienced such attention to detail, care, and follow through and will forever be a customer. They helped me determine all the components I needed and spares and helped me get started. Sailing on long passages in the middle of the ocean requires some sort of contact with the outside world (grib files, weather, emergencies). Our SSB radio was helpful but was unable to offer the features the IridiumGo provides (calls, texts, emails, multiple devices, etc...). This device allowed us to stay in touch with loved ones on shore during our 18-day passage from Galapagos to Chile. It worked great.

So I bought this through Amazon because of the return policy. I tested it and love it. The system is not a true WiFi as most people understand WiFi, but if you know the limitations and uses it is a very good unit. Still haven't figured out crew feature.
