This one doesn’t pick up the inserts bc the end is too small for the locator abutments. It will do the job though if you put the insert in place and use the tool to push it in place. Way cheaper than paying the dentist. Spend the extra 20 bucks and get the metal tool.

This tool made it very easy and simple to replace retention caps in my mom’s dentures. Simple to pop the old cap out and the new cap in. Switching a new cap for a different new cap takes a bit of noodling, but totally possible. Even though this tool is pricey, it is a permanent tool to keep and saved my mom more than its cost, by not having to go to the dentist and pay them to replace the caps. If you have good manual dexterity and take you time, it’s a smooth process. I highly recommend this if your old caps have worn out and need replacing.

A little expensive but it works as advertised. It’ll save me money in the long run from waiting in the office for my dentist to do what can be done on my own.
