Hubby purchased two of these tire racks to replace his battery charged tie rack. They are inexpensive and work great.

The hardest part is getting the hook popped into the base, which takes considerable pressure. Once that's done, the base turns smoothly so you can look at all the ties. It holds quite a few ties and seems nice and strong.If you have a closet that is very full I wouldn't recommend it. It's kind of an awkward shape for a packed closet. You need something slimmer. For us, none of our closets are full so it has plenty of room to hang. I bought a 2-pack to try out and we liked it so well that we bought two more. Please note that over the years we have tried probably six different solutions for hanging ties. And this is the best one yet.We make sure that we hang the ties evenly spaced so it doesn't tip to one side but all told it's a great little accessory!

My boyfriend was just hanging his ties in a row on the bottom of the pre-mounted shelves in our closet (in a row), which took up way too much space. So, on a whim I bought him these; they swivel so he is still able to see all of his ties easily without taking up the extra space. In addition to that, he's able to take them off the hanger and put them back on just as easily as the shelf in the closet. Some tie storage options require extra maneuvering or folding, but this you can just throw it on there and it's done (but still looks nice and organized). Super pleased with this products--especially for the cost and the fact that it came with two!* update: nearly a year later, and one broke a couple months after purchase. Next pack of two have lasted the year...hit or miss, I guess.

The low price on these hangers makes it a good purchase. They are simple to assemble, simply place the hanger in the hanger piece (make sure it's facing the correct way), press the hanger into the hole and it easily snaps in. Then, just hang it in your closet and put your ties on it. I gave it only 4 stars because the tie hanger pieces are fairly delicate and I broke one just while assembling it.

This does the job very well! I just have two very slight worries, which is that there's not much room between some of the hangers (they don't seem exactly evenly distributed), and that you must distribute the weight evenly or it is completely lopsided. Not using ties all that often, this turned out to be a little overkill for me.PROS:-- I love the rotating design! Makes this super convenient to use-- While it is light, the construction seems nice-- Easy to useCONS:-- Rotating design, while convenient, makes its placement in my closet a little awkward, I am currently keeping it at the center where there is some extra wiggle room of space, but I don't need ties all that often so I would prefer it farther out of the way-- Need to distribute weight evenly -- I tried to hang long neck ties on one half and bowties on the other half, and the tie rack was completely lopsided.-- Spacing between hangers isn't always even, leaving some cramped spots for me!

Bought this with the intention of hanging my scarves and belts, of which I have maybe 12 of each. Terrible mistake, the hooks are much too close together to be used as displayed, and I can really only get a scarf on every other hook. These aren't even thick winter scarves, they're the thin ~fashion accessory~ kind. The belts? Same issue, and none of them are the kind you'd find at a rodeo (read: big, gawdy).I imagine this does work exceedingly well for ties, which don't have much bulk, and have a smooth texture, so they don't get stuck. But overall I am disappointed with this purchase.EDIT 9/16:The seller contacted me recently and offered me the larger version of the product as a resolution to my issue. After receiving and testing out this new version, I am updating this review to reflect how much more effective the larger version is. Whereas the smaller version was not a good storage solution for my belts or scarves, the larger size is much better. All of my belts and scarves fit without bunching up or taking up multiple hooks, and they can be removed individually, without having to take others off the hooks to get to the belt I actually want.I highly recommend using this larger version for bulkier items, it is excellent.
