Still use it daily and it only shows a few scuffs. Works great and makes typing on the iPad so easy! I use it as my travel “laptop” so I can always write on the go. It is a little heavy but I prefer that

I am using my new iPad keyboard case to write this review. I bought this case because the logitech I had for my 1st gen iPad Pro was not able to hold the iPad in anymore because the plastic side pieces broke. I had the iPad duct taped in and that worked for 2 or 3 years but then didn’t any more. Then I was using those black 1 inch paper clips haha until this new keyboard case came in today. I love this keyboard case because it is very sturdy. I tried one of those detachable magnetic keyboard cases and I HATED it! So flimsy and unsecure. I returned it. I swear I didn’t see this one when I was shopping the first time when I bought the other one. I almost didn’t shop again after returning the limp noodle. So glad I did. This keyboard case is also heavy. If you are into lightness of weight in keyboards then do not order this one. It’s heavy because the iPad holder is able to be turned around backward so they had to make it heavy to counter weight the balance. The keys are smooth. I love that there’s a secure place to store the iPencil. The outside of the case is very smooth and soft and luxurious feeling but not so much that it will slide out of your hands. I wish this case had the pass through charging but it doesn’t; a minor thing as most electronics these days have to be charged. At least I don’t have to buy batteries. If I could give this keyboard case extra stars, I would.

I needed new case for my IPad. It’s old, but i love it. Screen is big and its easy to work with, but because its old version, not big choise for the cases to pick from. I found this one and got so excited! Ordered it, it came pretty fast and……. It didn’t work. I was upset, but…. It’s a technology….. something can be wrong. I contacted the seller, and they were fantastic! They sent me the new keyboard/case and prepaid label for the return of not working one. The new keyboard came and it got attached to my IPad in no time. I can say only good things about the seller and their product. Great customer service, fast reply and answers to all questions and great support! I would definitely recommend it.

I bought this product because of the reviews and so I knew exactly what I was getting. Here are some things to consider:1) No backlight keyboard. I knew this before purchasing, so no reason to mark it down a star.2) It feels good. The weight really turns it into a laptop.3) The hole for the apple pencil is sketch. I knew about this before buying but was still surprised that I couldn't take out my pencil easily. For this, I'll take off a star.4) The keys on the keyboard feel a little strong around the edges...I want to take off half a star here.5) Despite the above, it's a great product. I love it, so far. No other issues. Connection is great. Feels solid. It does make everything big and heavy, but what else would you expect?I bought this for work purposes, so that I could type properly without having to bring my laptop with me. And I got exactly what I needed.

Went through 2 of the genuine origami keyboards in 2 years. While this is more chunky and effectively turns the iPad into a little laptop, the keyboard is robust and has a holder for the pencil. Pairing was straight forward and battery life seems great. 360 rotation allows the pad to be still used as a pad, but with more of a surface experience.

UPDATE 2/15/2018: The actual keyboard is working better than I have ever thought possible! The battery lasts so long that I have regularly forget to charge the thing (and I use it quite a lot), yet I have never - NEVER - had it die on me (except during the first testing before I even charged it for the first time). I have used it during college for my English class for easily 8+ hours without it dying on me. Another neat feature that I was unaware of was that after a while of not using it (I would say around 30 minutes or so) the keyboard shuts off by itself. That probably helps with the battery lasting so long. The key strokes seem to have gotten better as well, with only a key stroke not registering once in a great while (hardly ever). The only bad things with this keyboard case is the Apple Pencil holder (the spring loaded one) no longer holds the Pencil in place anymore, so if I hold the iPad with the opening facing the ground, the Pencil WILL fall down. That has only happened once to me so far (I have become quite good at making sure that I hold the iPad so that the Pencil does not face down, so it's doable). As soon as I slid the Apple Pencil in the holder for the first time I knew that it wouldn't last. I can live with it. The only other problem is that the swivel on the case, while it still works great, feels really loose, almost like it's going come loose. I predicted as much as soon as I got it, but seeing as how it hasn't actually broken yet, I take that as a good sign. I'll update this review when/if it actually breaks. All in all, this case has blown away my expectations, with the Apple Pencil holder being the only thing that I originally predicted to break to actually break. A great product for the price!ORIGINAL REVIEW:Here is a REAL review, written by a REAL customer. I’m not sure how all these fake reviews are getting allowed by Amazon, seeing as how fake they are (I mean, you can OBVIOUSLY see the Google Translate in these reviews). Anyway, I am writing this review on the keyboard.Installation was easy, just take the iPad and push it into the top holder and it’s done. Feels kind of flimsy, but I guess time will tell on how long this lasts. Another thing that should be noted is that there is NO, I say again NO padding on this thing. So, yeah, I wouldn’t recommend dropping it (but really, who wakes up in the morning at says I feel like dropping my super expensive iPad Pro today). Then again, there aren’t any keyboard cases that offer great protection against dropping. If that’s a big concern for you, just buy an Otter Box Defender and a BlueTooth Keyboard separately. Pairing the keyboard took me two times before it connected. The keys aren't super high quality, but I’ve typed on worse with actual laptops. The shortcut keys are pretty nice, the keys themselves are pretty well spaced. It's basically like a regular laptop, except no number pad.A few things that I don't like right out the box, though. First is the Apple Pencil spring loaded holder. The spring feels fine, but as soon as you push it in and replace the cap (something that WILL get lost as soon as possible because there is no connector to hold the thing down), the spring releases. *UPDATE* After using the case for the evening the stopper for the hole that the Pencil goes in got stuck. I couldn’t get it out, even with tweezers I couldn’t get it out. In the end I had to push the cap all the way into the hole until it twists, THEN I could pull it out with tweezers. Also, sometimes (enough times that it makes me nervous) it took me awhile to get the Pencil out of the hole. It might be as simple as the Apple Pencil being too smooth that I couldn’t get a good enough grip, or it could be (more than likely) that the built-in holder is just too deep (or maybe the spring release is just not strong enough). Another thing is every thousand (or so) key strokes seems to not register with the iPad. This is, and I have to stress, a very MINOR issue, as every thousand (or so) strokes is pretty damn good (I was getting the same with an official Apple Magic Keyboard).People complaining or even wanting illuminated keys should look elsewhere. These aren't, and I'm perfectly fine with that. I have no idea yet what the battery for the keyboard is yet, as the keyboard died right out the box within about 30 minutes of me messing around. Pretty good, so far though, as it held a charge for that long. And yes, you have to charge the keyboard separate from the iPad (someone was complaining about that), and let me be clear: This is a cheap keyboard case. It isn’t cheaply made, yet it doesn’t come with all the bells and whistles that some of the others on here do.Overall, so far, I am quite happy with this product. There were no flaws so far, at least nothing that would make me not recommend this product to others. It IS very heavy, but not SO heavy that it will make carrying it uncomfortable. Even with the added weight of this case, the iPad Pro is still WAY lighter than any laptop I’ve held.In conclusion, after using this thing throughout the evening and into the morning I am quite happy with it, despite the flaws that this case has. The Apple Pencil holder is a pretty big deal with me, but this is simply a minor inconvenience in the grant scheme of things. This isn’t flashy, but I got what I paid for. The swivel screen makes me a tad nervous simply because I have no idea what its made of or how durable it is. My biggest fear is that it will break, disconnect and drop my iPad on the floor. BUT, that hasn’t happened yet, and I am being super careful with it (the only time I use the swivel is when I turned the keyboard around to use the iPad as a drawing table). So far, this isn’t that bad. If you’re looking for more, go spend the money. If you aren’t made of money (like me), this is a great, cheap keyboard case. It has everything that you would need, and the keyboard (the main function of this case) works perfectly.

My review is based on the following requirements I had: (1) a strong keyboard with real "action" and excellent responsiveness (2) stable in-place use on my lap while on a couch/etc, and (3) ability to use the ipad as it was intended when required, flat in my hands using the touchscreen keyboard. From a keyboard standpoint, I'm a keyboard "geek" and have vintage keyboards, new ones costing hundreds of dollars (yes they make them, strangely enough), different types of keyboard switches, etc. I touch-type at a fast rate and keyboards have to provide real depth, a click, and keep-up. When I bought this product, I had researched what was available for the 12.9 ipad pro (mine is the original ipad 12.9) and read reviews where people complained of the keyboard, stability, etc. I also noticed most did not fold-back so you could use the ipad pro as originally intended, purely as a tablet. I bought this product but had low expectations based on past experiences with other manufacturers on older ipads and the lower cost of this prouct. I expected the keyboard feel would not meet my goals but I'd give it a shot and stability issues. To my surprise, what I received was a high quality product with a fantastic keyboard that I could touch-type as fast as I wanted, a stable hinge system, and something that looked and felt professional and fitting of the ipad Pro. I have taken note of a few things here as I read the other reviews, so clearly the owner has to be thinking when they use a product like this. The ipad pro is is heavy and the keyboard case, being what you want-- a substantial stable product-- also has wait. So when you lift and move the ipad pro while in this case, put one hand on the ipad pro and other on the keyboard and lift together. This will prevent you from putting stress on the case. This is somewhat common sense when you use it, there are design constraints here that the manufacturer can't overcome, they are merging two products (keyboard, ipad pro) and you need to think about how you handle them together. Next, I'd guess that if you plan on removing the ipad from the keyboard case daily, maybe over time the plastic might wear-- I don't know, I haven't seen that, but it can happen with any case for any device. So this leads me to another point which is that I thought I'd want to remove this case frequently and what I found was I kept it on, despite the weight. Why? Because there was another hidden gem in this case, which is another picture they show in the listing-- having the ipad facing you with the keyboard behind it. What this does is hold the ipad at an angle to you while using it without the keyboard, but does so in an very stable fashion. So for example if you are on the couch and not using the keyboard , now the ipad stays in-place facing you at the perfect angle. Yes other non-keyboard cases have this capability but they tend to move around and unravel and they aren't as stable. This case is rock-solid when in this position, so now I find myself one-handing control and swiping of the ipad, when not using the keyboard, where before I needed two hands, one on the left to hold the ipad still, and on right for keyboard. Also the ipad pro can now be used with less eye strain as stays in the perfect position as I move around. All-and-all, the product was a real surprise. I can be a real critic of some of the low quality manufacturing occurring around the world to include China, but I can say that in this case, the product has exceeded expectations. Do be careful though as I noted earlier in how you handle it, there are only so many things a manufacturer can do to protect the product from rough handling. It's a heavy combination, so use your common sense and treat it, in combination, gently. Do not swing it around like your lenovo laptop, no ipad pro keyboard/case vendor can provide you that kind of experience due to the challenges and realities of combining a keyboard clamshell with the ipad pro.
