It keeps add noise to calls.

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I read reviews stating that the suction didn't work out well, either on the dashboard or on the windshield. I used the dashboard mount and when I decided to try to mount it on the windshield I couldn't; I couldn't get it to release from the dashboard; so, obviously the suction works perfectly and the dashboard mount is perfect as well since it doesn't come off under a lot of pressure.Keep in mind that it is currently March and Summer doesn't begin until June, with the hottest Texas heat in August. We have had a few 85 degree days and the mount still adhered to the dashboard, with an inside temperature of 120+ degrees.Alexa works great!; but keep in mind that Alexa will pick up on key words from the radio or streaming media.Although it has a great range of motion, I do wish that it had a greater range of motion.

Love this mount! Love having the Alexa Feature in my car & holds my phone perfectly! Most other previous mounts I've used don't. This one is super easy to use & install as well. It doesn't move an inch on my dash & phone stays perfectly place. It's so easy to place my phone in & out of mount and even easier than the magnetic ones since phone always moves or falls off when you put it on and/or while driving. This one works perfectly and even looks SO NICE WITH THE BLUE LIGHTS FROM ALEXA FEATURE! EVEN THE LOOK OF IT MAKES YOUR CAR LOOK REALLY GOOD AND I DON'T EVEN MIND THE WIRES ACTUALLY LOOK GOOD WITH THIS MOUNT. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT AND EVEN WOULD RATHER HAVE IT OVER ONE THAT WIRELESS CHARGES. IF THEY ADDED THAT FEATURE, IT WOULD BE REALLY PERFECT!

It was easy to mount but it did not work well with my navigation system. You had to have Bluetooth and Alexa open and then all this didn’t allow you to use stereo through the regular speak very well. Needs improvements there.

Not 5 Stars due to one thing, I travel a lot and wanted Alexa in the car everywhere I go. I found depending on the car it would be anywhere from great to meh to get working. Not sure why as its pair to the phone not the device, but that was my experience. BUT When I tied it down to my car, 2017 Dodge with comfort and entertainment technology packages, it was fantastic. So let me tell you something when compared to other Alexa car devices.... the directions feature works on this... I havent seen others do this when I tell my other friends with alexa auto devices. this is huge. When you tie it to your google calendar and phonebook the power of it for people who are driving a lot while they work is amazing. Where is my next appointment, give me directions to my next appointment. Call xyz business. how late is this restaurant open. I use it WITH my old galaxy S7 and Android Auto (no widget) but I can ask Alexa anything and it works seamlessly with maps. I have not tried it with Waze yet. I also noticed its a bandwidth hog (FYI if your not on a true unlimited or are on a shared bandwidth plan). If you ask it to play audiobook or amazon music it's streaming the entire time, even if you have the media on your phone, Just like your home Alexa devices. I think this is a Amazon Alexa software build limitation not the Ottie. It also won't be controlled by android auto dash screen BUT you can rewind, fast forward, go to chapter, skip song sooo much easier by voice.The mount. I love it! it is sturdy. all joints have great powerful locks. it has an expanding/retracting arm for so many options. I had to remove the permanent suction dash puck (if you don't want to use you windshield) from one car and put it on another... that need to add superglue to stick as re-applying 3m 2 sided tape didn't do it. But I didn't mind that. The way the phone locks in and is removed is super easy one you realize the backplate is the trigger to grab the phone, I love it. If it could add a wireless charge feature for Samsung qi phones, that would be awesome but that is splitting hairs. The manual wire is annoying, that's all. if the phone holder had a mounting clip, that would be easier (I added one from home depot but I had to buy 5) I suggest you don't mount the phone on the dash or in direct sunlight as the backplate that holds it will prevent the phone from expelling heat and may overheat and stop charging for safety (I am in the southwest). but that's, not their fault just an FYI.I would 100% buy it as-is again. I will buy it as a gift for several Alexa nuts like me this holiday.--Best feeling: I fly back home, get in my car after a business trip, telling Alexa to set my AC or heater at home, turn on certain lights and devices from my car. I drop in on my dog sitter and tell her I'll be home soon. She tells me she is running low on his dog food and will get ready and send my furr buddy on over. I tell Alexa to order the food. I ask Alexa about some new restaurants hours or phone and ask for directions. the restaurant is closed... that's cool my Alexa account is tied to a local pizza place, I order my usual and it arrives 5 minutes after I am in the door. Never took my hands off the steering wheel. immediately I feel like I am home. Ottie has upped my get home stress-free game. plus the question of the day or jeopardy at 70mph is sorta fun.

Alexa worked for the 1st day! No audio sound after that. It’s loaded flawlessly but failed to stay connected. I returned the product

i was initially hesitant in purchasing due to the price but after i have gone through multiple cheap phone holders that all ended up breaking, i took the leap and made the purchase. first let me start by saying i do see the difference in quality that makes up for the price tag. assembly was easy and the suction cup holds secure. i love how you can press the bottom arms to open up the holder and when you lay your phone on, the main phone holder will click in, to the shape of your phone. this was the main reason my previous phone holders would break due to the forceful entry of the phone—there was no other way. iottie clearly had this in mind and built this mount w this additional option. genius! im not very savvy w technology but set up was easy. just download the apps. i get in my car, ask siri to open up alexa, then i can ask alexa to turn on my music. the most exciting part of this all?? apparently i get free music streaming through amazon prime!!!! am i the only person who didnt know this?? well i found out through my car mount!! i feel like im getting something extra everytime i use it. definitely worth every penny! i am fully satisfied w iotties quality, ease of use, & smart technology. will be purchasing more as gifts!!

Very disappointed that Pandora isn't supported either. With Spotify and Pandora missing, this thing is way overpriced for what you get. It works ok, but it is lacking a lot of what I considered basic "Alexa" functionality. When something says it has Alexa built in, I expect to be able to use all my common Alexa services. Might be worth $25 but definitely not worth $70. Also, found out after the fact that the manufacturer has a 15% off coupon but you would have had to know to check the manufacturer's website to learn that. I learned it after I bought it for too much.
