I was amazed at how quickly and easily I was able to cut holes in the ice. My last auger was 8” and the 10” upgrade is worth every penny! Well made and designed. With my forward facing sonar unit, drilling a lot of holes is crucial to get on the fish. I have no worries that this unit will go for days!

The ten inch is where it's at. The batteries last forever too. Happy with this purchase. Way way lighter then my gas 10" jiffy.

I used a single battery for 3 consecutive days on the ice without recharging. I did get the additional battery, just in case. It punches through 8" of ice in about 6-7 seconds. The auger bit can be changed between the 10" and 8" too, I called ION and asked. I am so glad I went with the 10" and not the 8".

Fantastic product, this is by far the best auger I have ever used, and it is extremely light weight and drills a 10" inch hole

THIS AUGER CUTS ICE LIKE BUTTER The first time putting it to the ice I was thinking no way is this light weight going to cut this 10 inch hole. Ipulled the button it cut through 11 inches of ice so fast and easy all three people in the group looked at me and at same time yelled WOW .I WOULD TELL EVERYONE TO BUY THIS AUGER YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY

I love the Ion Alpha it chews through the ice and the battery life is awesome! I love how light weight it is, makes it easy to carry or pull on a sled.
