Great quality and my dog loses his mind over it. He is very high energy and can play endlessly most days, except for when we use this. In 20 or 30 minutes he is exhausted. The felt is holding up well too. Definitely a must-have for a high energy dog.

Dogs love this thing, but when they go to tug on it, it pulls and breaks the arm. I have bought this many times. but they need to use stronger glue.

Great exercise and distraction for those days that just aren’t conducive to outside romps.

Short version: high quality, replaceable parts, easy to use, especially for an injured human and super energetic dog.Longer review:I have two high energy dogs (plus two seniors) in the house. I heard about these flirt poles for years and now I feel like I would’ve saved myself so much energy if I’d gotten it earlier. It really helps let the dog chase and tug and walk alongside you with so little effort.I was quite blown away by the quality of the parts and the fact that I can easily replace the various parts. I buy so many things for my 5 animals that it’s unusual for me to be surprised these days and this definitely far surpassed my expectations for under $20!I’ll add that I’ve tested the tug force with an almost 90 lb dog and a super feisty 30lb dog and it performed perfectly. Both dogs chewed on the toy and you wouldn’t even know it.

Well this is what the toy looks like after 18 days of playing with a 3 month old Belgian Malinois mix puppy who weighs about 30 lbs. This is his favorite toy! I just run it along the ground in front of him so he can chase it. He plays tug o war as well. It's pretty beat up after about 3 weeks of usage - maybe 15-30 minutes a day. The pole and rope *(see more below) is very strong. I don't care for the ergonomic part of the grip and find myself never aligning my fingers in it so I just hold below it. As others have mentioned the middle of the pole can come loose while playing but it hasn't been annoying enough for me to put locktite on it, I just tighten it every few minutes by hand. It would be better to have saved money on design and used a normal grip and add another replacement fleece rope to the package instead. It's kind of heavy too but I guess that's what makes it strong - it bends like a fishing pole when he pulls on it sometimes but only about an inch or so of curvature, it doesn't feel like it would break. The fleece rope toy portion isn't too delicate but once it starts to lose it's form it unravels quickly which is why I think the kit should include 2 for the cost. Replacements are available for a reasonable price (2 for $12.99) and I've ordered a few spares. I'm a little concerned about the rope loop that appears to be stitched together and then covered with a plastic shrink wrap of sorts. The plastic on mine has started to become shredded and will likely come off soon. It's hard to see from the angle that the rope is facing in the pic I took but you can see where the plastic is damaged and it's way worse on the other side of the rope where it only has about 50% coverage remaining. It looks like the stitching is pretty good though so hopefully the plastic isn't the main structural component of the rope loop. Decided to add a pic of the rope loop damage and stitching for reference. If your dog doesn't play fetch or even if they do I still recommend this toy.

The stick is very sturdy and the fun is unlimited. My 9-month over the top standard poodle just loves it. Amazing toy! This is better than a stick, a ball, a frisbee or a cat!
