The sound quality of this is amazing, you can understand what it’s saying. It’s very easy to use and functions well for toddlers for fun learning

Our toddler loves this! The dinosaur pen is easy for him to hold and to maneuver over the included phonics cards. The cards are made from a quality cardstock, easy to hold, are colorful, and fit on the plastic rings perfectly. One thing I like is that the cards are in colored groups and progress up so that this can be used a few years by our toddler. Our 6 year-old even loves it. It's more like a fun game with a cute, talking dinosaur as a helping friend. It's well worth the cost!

This talking dinosaur pen is such a fun way to help little ones with phonics and early reading. I love how interactive it is. The kids were really drawn to it right away. The cards are colorful and easy to use, and the dinosaur voice keeps them engaged and makes learning feel more like play. It has been especially helpful for keeping our younger grandkids entertained while also practicing important skills.

This dinosaur reader was a hit with my two and three year old classroom. They really enjoyed using the dinosaur to move around to the different pictures. The box offers educational fun for several age groups or it can progress with your child as their reading skills increase. My group enjoyed the beginner cards that offered pictures of emotions, household items, vehicles, foods and animals. After a brief example of how to use it they were able to manage this activity with minimal assistance. The smiles on their faces and giggles that could be heard make me wish I could offer pictures or video (unfortunately not allowed because they are not my children). We began to use the alphabet cards but my group found the emojis and other beginner selection more entertaining. I will definitely be bringing back friend Dinosaur for future activities!

I bought this talking pen toy for my 4-year-old daughter who's been working on her speech sounds. Here's my honest take after using it for about 2 weeks. What works: My daughter loves the dinosaur design - it's cute and not intimidating like some educational toys. She actually wants to play with it, which is half the battle. The cards are sturdy and have held up well to toddler handling. The variety of topics on the cards is good, covering animals, feelings, everyday objects, etc. The sound quality is clear enough to understand the words. What doesn't work so well: The pen doesn't always recognize when you tap on the cards - sometimes we have to press really hard or try multiple times. This gets frustrating for little ones who just want it to work. The volume is either too loud or too quiet, no good middle setting. The recording feature is neat in theory, but my daughter's recordings come out really quiet and fuzzy, so we don't use that function much. Also, some of the cards got mixed up in our set, and it says the wrong words for those images, which is confusing. It's been helpful for pronunciation practice, but I wouldn't say it's a miracle worker. My daughter enjoys it in short bursts but loses interest after about 10 minutes. For the price, I expected a bit more reliability. If you're looking for something to supplement speech practice, it could work, but manage your expectations.

Five stars without hesitation for this Interactive Dinosaur Talking Pen! I gave it to a child who is learning English as a second language, and it’s honestly been a game changer. The dinosaur voice makes everything feel like a game, which keeps them laughing and curious instead of feeling like they’re studying. I’ve watched them light up every time they tap a flash card and hear the word read aloud—it’s such a smart and engaging way to make language learning fun. This toy is also a total win for screen-free learning. No apps, no Wi-Fi—just pure, hands-on fun that builds real skills. It’s compact enough to take on road trips or to appointments, which makes it even more valuable. If you’re raising or teaching a young ESL learner, I cannot recommend this enough. The dinosaur might look like just a cute gimmick, but it’s genuinely one of the most effective educational tools we’ve used.

This set exceeded my expectations in terms of quality. It includes a large number of flash cards that are easy to organize using the included rings. The interactive reading dinosaur has impressive sound quality and is simple to use—just place it on a word, and it reads it aloud clearly. One minor drawback is that recording your own voice isn’t very intuitive. It took some trial and error, even with the instructions. However, once you figure it out, it works as described.Overall, my daughter really enjoys using it, and it’s a great educational tool.
