I became interested in this product after an ad for "Speedy Tail" was displayed for me while going down an internet hole. I was intrigued because we have two new kittens and we do want them to be entertained while we are away. Of course the product sold as Speedy Tail is more than I want to spend so an Amazon search was made and I ordered one of these.The product works as expected. It moves randomly and makes a sound something like a bird or rodent. If left alone it eventually stops. If it rolls somewhere where you can't see it, it can get stuck when it shuts down. I also bought another brand of the same kind of toy and eventually it rolled into this one and woke it up. I hadn't seen it in weeks as it must have been under some furniture.My cats were initially fascinated by it, but eventually they lost interest. We start them up every so often to give them something to do, but it does not act like an automated cat sitter to give your cats stimulation while you are out. At least for my cats, they stop playing with it soon after pauses on its own.I received a free sample of this product as part of the Amazon Vine program in return for my honest review.

The ball itself is fun and great. The dog loves it however, you can charge it all night and it stops working after about 15 minutes.

It took a while, my sedentary cats were curious at first. But actually became playful with it, chasing its “tail”. I was beginning to think that if we had “real” mice we would be in big trouble even with THREE CATS! The oldest one pounced first, catching its tail.

I have a scottish and she liked it. Now she is done with other toys and just playing with this interactive toy. Designation is very well and works great. Some of you knows scottish isnt playfull kind of cat but even my cat play for long time. I recommend to all cat moms/dads.
