I use this all the time. I haven't used a different air fryer to compare it to, but this one is very good. I honestly haven't used the dual zones at all. I do use both sides if I want to cook multiple things, and I have taken out the divider to cook larger things a couple of times.

Replaced another fryer that never seemed to crisp anything up, despite promises. This InstantPot machine definitely hits the mark - cooks & crisps to perfection 👌. Directions say to run machine once before using it to cook. Yes, it does smell as though something is burning, and this can linger in the house for a few days. If worried, you could run it outside the first time (recommend staying with machine for the 15 min to ensure there’s no rain or other debris). This is not unique to this product, but sensitive noses may have some difficulty. Have used both single and dual options and food was cooked well and tasted great! Very easy to clean and there are options on Amazon to purchase disposable basket liners, which also fit great!

This double-compartment VersaZone 9qt Air Frier does it all....and unlike my first air frier, it is a breeze to clean with the non-stick interior surfaces. That's one of the best features. And boy, is it smart! It practically cooks for you with prompts to put the food in and turn the food over. You can pick your mode ...air fry, roast, broil, bake. It's large and the operation is easy, too.... a lot of the guess work is taken away ... and if you change your mind mid-stream about the time or temperature you need, you can make changes and it doesn't mind! The dual cooking compartments allows you to cook more than one type of food at a time ... and if you need a larger cooking area, just take the divider out and voilå — there it is, a big compartment! It's just a great product!

I researched for quite a while prior to deciding on this model from Instant Pot as I have never used one before and my husband thinks only oil fryers will make crispy food. I chose this model as you can cook something larger by removing the divider in the basket or cook 2 different items and different temperatures and times with 2 baskets. If you are using this to cook for more than 2 people, this 9 quart model is perfect. I can not imagine anything smaller as its the perfect size for a whole bag of french fries at once with having all the fries on one level (not piled on top of each other) to max the crispness. It was so easy to use and clean, I am completely happy with my choice and highly reccomend this model to anyone!

9/1/24 - This thing almost burned my house down! I put French fries in for my kids and was just about to walk outside to grill some hamburgers when I smelled something burning. I turned around and saw smoke, the plug and outlet were burning!8/9/24 - after using for about 7 months, only one side functions properly. Use dual or single basket and the left side says preheating the entire time and food cooks very unevenly.I chose this air fryer as I like the option for one larger or two smaller baskets, as I was replacing a different air fryer that had the same feature but was recalled. This one is large, easy to use. As far as appearance, it's not the prettiest but it's not the worst looking either. It's fairly easy to clean and can be run through the dishwasher, which is great. The platform food sits on can be a little more difficult to clean, especially if you have a sauce on what you're cooking but a bit of scrubbing and it's good to go.The right side (whether used as two baskets or one) does not cook as well as the left. Cannot make two separate things as we have to rotate the food from one side to another as is. The smell sometimes is awful and is a bit concerning. Tonight I went to clean in and one of the handles came loose on the bottom. A screw had come out and will not screw back in.

It's also slightly annoying to clean sometimes but that's mainly because I have a pretty small sink and the drawer is pretty big and doesn't fit in it very well. Aside from those 2 things though, I love this airfryer. Super simple to use and seems like it's a good quality unit. I do recommend running a couple cooking cycles outdoors to burn off the fumes, first run in the house was pretty strong.
