My X4 runs on my Harley and gets a beating from bugs and the elements. This rugged case provides added protection. Would not want to run my $500 camera around at Mach Jesus without it.

I just picked up my 360 and I know from experience with sports cameras and other 360 cameras over the years that there are certain accessories I need. The cage is a biggie for overall protection and accessory mounting, plus this one has a folding Go Pro style mount as well as the standard 1/4-20 threaded hole. The screen cover fits perfectly and touch control still works. The silicone lens cover is handy, especially since the cases for the camera don't take the cage into account. Very happy with the products.

This case (cage) is extremely well made and will protect your Insta360 X4 from accidental drops or bumps against things. It comes with lens protectors, but I haven't tried the provided ones, because I already have them installed on my camera. It's good to have spares though, because they WILL get scratched and ruin your videos eventually. Great product!

The armor case is very sturdy, however, the alignment is not perfect. When installed with the Insta360 X4, the fit alignment for the battery compartment side is very tight. I had to adjust it a few times to get it to align so I can remove the battery. The lens cap that it includes are not air tight. condensation will happen in cold and hot environments. The TPU Lens cover is not great. it barely fit with the lens cap on. It was designed to use without the lens cap. I had to over stretch the cover. The bonus is that it has a side mount for additional attachments. I would rate it a 3 star but I think it's unfair since this design concept is pretty good. Would I recommend? Not until they improve the fit alignment issues.

The rubber cover tore almost immediately, just from taking it out of the packaging.The aluminum fit is not precise—likely due to the material—but the lack of sufficient rubber padding makes it difficult to properly center the camera and keep it securely in place, allowing it to shift from side to side.The securing screw is positioned on one side, which creates uneven pressure when tightened, reducing stability.While it does add side protection, removing the original cover eliminates all front protection except for the lens cover. This leaves the front of the camera more exposed and vulnerable to damage.On a positive note, it does provide an additional mounting angle to screw the camera in horizontally, which is a nice touch.Overall, it’s helpful to have some level of protection for the camera, but this design feels like a small step forward. There’s significant potential to create a much better cover for this camera.

I was originally going to order the big name brand one of these and looked at the features it has, and it hardly stacked up to this. Better price, better locking mechanism, more mounting options, more material to protect the camera? Yes please!
