Uncertain why anyone needs to make these car-specific unless the car has a uniquely shaped windshield. It fits fine in my RAV4, and perfect timing because my other one has broken free from the wiring and needed to be retired. I don't actually think the thickness is of any value and prefer the light-weight visor. This is a bit bulky and I doubt that if the car is out in the heat of the day it will make any difference to have the extra insulated visor. Makes it harder to pack and store, too. Other than that, it works and does what it should!

How could I have lived without these. Tailor made!Ditch all the generic ones and buy the specific for your vehicle. You won't regret.

I live in FL and sun protection is a must for any vehicle that you take out of the house. We have used various one size fits most type products in the past, but they always leave some amount of gap, or have a floppy edge piece that can semi cover the edits, but never well.The alternative is also the sun visor that came with the car, but the huge folding visor is cumbersome, difficult to store, etc. This visor is the best of both worlds - it has the custom fit that covers the windshield from edge to edge, but also folds down to a small disk that can slip into the storage compartment behind the passenger seat.The one thing that I wasn't sure of at first was how to cover the area around the camera equipment behind the rearview mirror. On the 2019 Forester model, this equipment is fairly bulky, and this visor didn't go around or over it. I realized after a minute of experimentation that the thinner part of the shade can slide just under the camera housing, creating a nearly complete seal around all edges of the window.The sunshade itself was shipped nicely, vacu-sealed in a plastic bag and packed in a sturdy cardboard branded box. The shade itself comes with a case for storage that has a Velcro closure at the top. As far as the material, somehow it manages to be both thick and flexible, and feels like it will be a great insulator. On the few quick trips out, I've found my car to be cooler than expected, but we haven't gotten to the hot summer months here in FL, so we'll see how it does once the weather gets extreme.Overall, very satisfied with this sunshade. It will become my new daily use sunshade, and my old ones will be secondary, for shielding side windows, etc.
