Took a while for Amazon to ship them, but they are good and strong. Sample tested only one. Cannot pull or break the knob off the insert by hand. This is of course required, but not all products meet expectations. As long as they don't change them, buy with confidence.

I needed knobs to use in making subject holders for macrophotography. It's easy to attach an alligator clip to a piece of 1/2-20 threaded rod and screw that into the knob, giving the "ball" for a ball and socket subject positioner.

We like these. There is a nice texture to them, and when dry they are very ergonomic and do not make for sore hands even after using them all day. The threaded section is deep, maybe 3/4" or so.

These were surprisingly nice. The balls are good quality with a non-rough but non-slick surface. These are much better than the knobs I've seen at local hardware stores in terms of practicality and quality. I plan to use four of these for a taper / straight edge jig for the table saw. If I need more I'll buy these again.
