These are fantastic nibs. Modeled after the principality (except those are no longer produced and often selling for 15x the cost per nib). Note that these are not beginner nibs. If they are scratching the paper, that is “user error.” You do need a light touch for these, and if you don’t, you might need to start with a G or blue pumpkin. If you are a beginner and still want to use them, make sure you are using extremely smooth paper and understand you might snap a few while learning.Shipping is a little slow to the US (they’re coming from GB I believe) but we’ll worth it if you don’t need them immediately. I love that they come with the tin, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a little origami swan in mine. It definitely put a smile on my face when I found that.

I love this nib. I wouldn't say it was great for beginners however I am slightly above a novice when it comes to calligraphy. It runs smooth across good quality paper and it writes thick and thin lines beautifully. I havent gotten a bad result yet with this nib

This is supposed to be the best of the British manufactured product but sadly was found to be having problems when writing with these dip pen nibs. The movement of the nib is not smooth at all a d you discover that it is scratching the paper. With the existing available technologies, one would expect such problems having been smoothed out! These nibs are expensive and really not worth a dime. Very much disappointed indeed.

My order arrived way sooner than I thought. These nibs are perfect. I ordered 40 and checked every one with a loupe; all were excellent. The tin containers provide a great way to store them. The Leonardt Principal EF is the best nib on the market today; great hairlines and wide swells that don't require a lot of pressure. If you're a beginner you should really try these out. The G nibs are okay to start, but they require much more pressure and calligraphy is all about a light touch. The complimentary bag of Earl Grey and the handwritten note were much appreciated.
